2007 - I get my first big boy paycheck and go straight to a Subaru dealer. Leave the lot in a brand new WRX STi. Feels like horse shit - go to forums, and of course that year is plagued with tuning issues. And if/when it gets bad enough, cyl 4 rings go and you are screwed. Only fix is money for parts and tuning, which voids warranty. I was thrilled.

2008 - Sell Subaru and get lightly used FJ Cruiser. Head to forums where there are a handful of informational threads and everyone screaming at new users to search better. Oh and - timing cover leaks which require major work (I had it and never fixed), "fender bulges" around crash zone, rear differentials that "bomb", leaky roof racks, etc. My FJ was nearly perfect, but it still left a stink.

2017 - Trade FJ for brand new SR5 TRD. I was so sure of what I wanted I never even test drove. As in never drove ANY Tundra. I didn't test the one I bought, and I had never driven a Tundra before. What an amazing first drive off the lot - and its still amazing. Once home, I headed to the forums to figure out what baggage comes along with the ownership and nothing stands out. Just a bunch of dudes at Tundras.com modding their already great trucks to fit a want/need/lifestyle. I've never been this settled a month after purchase - to the point I don't even know what to mod next since everything on the list is low priority.

What a happy place to be.

    -Jim

Members make it a great place to be for sure. I lurked around for a while to make sure members weren't a bunch of elitist a-holes. Decided to join and there was meet a great shortly afterwards. Was scared to go as my truck was still stock and was afraid it would be full of elitist a-holes. Then I met @Sean266 and @JC303 I knew this would be aiight. Been here since and loving it.

Nope. They are not supportive of new entrants to anything. Here, the folks that know their stuff have no issues sharing what they've learned.

This mirrors my sentiment after a month of lingering around. Lovely group you guys/gals have going on around here. One of the first forums I've been on where 80% of the posts aren't flooded with 1) search or 2) some tenured crabby members dragging their drama from thread to thread.

And its nice to finally have a vehicle where your intro thread isn't full of "Check this", "wait for this to appear", "First mod has to be xxxxx".

We plan to keep this forum in the positive manner it has been. As an example, we nuked the last problematic member in light of keeping the positive flow here. It doesn't have to be circle jerks, but let's keep the negative, cancer spreading guys out.

Definitely a kudos to you and all staff members that keep the status quo around here. By far the best forum filled with guys who lift each other up (but not without taking some funny jabs) and help each other.

When the zombie/Russian/etc apocalypse comes.....let's say everybody in this forum plan to meet up at Toytec headquarters, head up to the mountains and red dawn that bitch?

I'm really good at sharing crap I don't know about. For some reason the occasional person listens, goes out and does what I say, and his truck is screwed forever....

That being ignored...Now go take your color matched bumper caps off and trade for my chromies. That'll get you where you need to be

Welcome from CO!! Great to have you here!
