If I had long travel and fiberglass bugle fenders I’d feel ok running them.

I like the look of the grill and went ahead and wired the three amber lights. I've seen so many vehicles with the "Raptor" grill amber lights around here, I swear I saw a Chrysler minivan with some "Raptor" grill amber lights the other day.

We live in a time when people are putting lights everywhere. We got light bars going on roofs. We got puddle lights. We got two sets of fog lights going into aftermarket bumpers. We got auxillary back up lights. I'm surprised we don't have LED's going in our visors so the women in our lives can do makeup in the truck.

If you like the Raptor lights just get them. They don't seem any more overkill than the 1000 other lights people are adding. I think they look neat so we can be tacky together. :fistbump:

I meant to add too, there running $30 bucks off if you pre-order. I was in @ $200

I passed on the grill emblem, already have one laying one. Passed on the raptor lights, already have some smoked ones that came with my Tacoma grill I tried to hack up.

I was gonna mention that earlier. The 1 day I did get to drive my truck after the lift install I parked between 2 4wd 1/2 ton newish trucks and our hoods were about the same height, but I had tons more ground clearance, and much taller rubber. The proportions on modern trucks is just funky. They don't look right till you add a lift, but all the bro lifted trucks you see are spacer lifts. Eww.

You ordered from TEQ? How are those any different from the ones being sold on the other two websites? The one on 4Pro looks the same. Who actually manufactures these?

I did order from TEQ. The 4pro grill is like $390 depending on options and I was afraid of Alibaba, and it comes in @ $157 with shipping . They’re all probably made in the same place truth be told

teq is gonna be priced @ $230 before options but they offering a pre-order discount (automically comes off in the cart) of $30.

I really like this, but my inability to visualize what the options look like leaves me unable to pull the trigger.

Like, I'd want to see this with the white painted option on an AC truck like mine.
Also, what the hell are all the options, I know what the old school Toyota color badge is, but wtf does it look like, where is it positioned?
And what about the other options, what do they look like?

I feel like if you make a product like this, if you want people to buy it, you should have an abundance of pictures to show off the options.

Not to mention, what I'm reading about it needing to be trimmed to fit an RC, which I assume I'd need to do for my AC if that's "normal", why the hell would I pay $100 extra to paint match something I need to trim?

I think many of us are dying to have other grill options that don't look "full Raptor" - if I wanted a damn Ford, I'd buy a damn Ford - and this could be the ticket despite the Raptor-y inspiration/feel to it. Just something more modern, single bar across the middle, etc.

I guess I'll avoid risk and miss out on the 10%(ish) off at pre-buy-in and wait until someone else with a '03+ RC/AC truck in white gets it so I can see whether it looks bobo in white. After seeing how radically different @daveeasa 's grill looks like in white vs. black or any other color, it's really clear to me us white truck owners have to be careful. The outer border of aftermarket grills looks 50% bigger when painted in white for some reason.

I don’t blame ya, I probably wouldn’t have jumped in without the double cab picture they have. They have pictures of the heritage badge but not on the grille. The one I have attaches with a bracket behind the grille to hold it in place, position as you see fit.

****Edited for wrong info on my part ****

Yeah, I'm going to see how easy it is and how it looks, I'll have photos. I don't love grille badges but those are so easy to add after the fact and there's a good TW guy doing super nice ones. Raptor lights are something I can own, I do enough with that stuff for other people. Paint on a grille vs black plastic, for a white truck especially, I'd prefer black plastic. I only painted the grille on it right now b/c it was silver and that seemed ugly on a white truck.

I'm in a different boat though with the '02 style grille so I am hoping the install is easier and no/minimal mods?

For $200 I'll gamble. Not overconfident they can deliver or that it's nice but hey, I'll try. I might even try ali-x if they are out there already, didn't realize that was a possibility. But I'm doing stupid spending on my dumb truck, hopefully you guys can learn from my mistakes :) :) :)

Sold my 1911 to buy ignition coils. Ordered all 8. I have plugs on hand from RA. Should be here tomorrow.

Thanks for asking fellas. Had a very snarky call with my boss this morning before bed about making an exception to use my floating holiday tonight. He thought I just wanted a 4 day weekend. I sent him pics of the car, and the gif I posted here.

    Still was an asshole.
