I’m gonna feel blind without the big mirrors though…
We’ll see. I might be on the hunt for some platinum mirrors and sell the tow ones when I get the fixed one back. The issue I’m having is pretty minor and cosmetic, but they are being cool about warrantying it

When you say platinum mirrors, do you mean the platinum tow mirrors? I thought about going with the tow mirrors, but ended up going with these instead: 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra Adjustable Spotter Mirror and have been very pleased. They also have a turn signal one as well - the only thing they don't offer is the auto dimming and BSM, however they are supposed to be working on the BSM+Turn Signal option.

I had an earlier version of those.
There aren’t “platinum tow mirrors” except to order the fully optioned Boost Auto ones that I have. I’m simply thinking out loud about finding a set of fully optioned standard size mirrors like the platinum and 1794 come with:
    Power fold
    BSM
    Turn Signals
    Heat
    Puddle lights
    EC/auto-dim glass

Woke up to a couple inches of snow in Spokane. Guess I prematurely put away all the winter gear. Had planned to bike to work today, probably not a good idea...

Next project. Just ordered the mount which will go under the driver seat. I'm not a fan of these in hot engine bay or out in the elements. This was the portable kit that came in a case. I'm converting it to a permanent setup

Have you had issues with them in the engine bay? Or just personal preference? Asking for a friend…

I’ve heard of issues. Think of how hot these get when being used then you’re already making them hot before use. Can’t be good for longevity.

Just ordered new ones…because they are swapping mine out on warranty. Had a good size spot on the passenger side that was missing the finish after a year

Seeing hummingbirds in the snow is weird. I believe we have 16 hanging out here now. My wife is maintaining 7 feeders 1C09FA74-044E-4376-BAE1-8E9E55EED60B.jpg

Just pop the door and run a quick disconnect. Maybe do 4lines from https://morrflate.com/
But seems like a lot of hose to haul around.

I keep thinking about running dedicated tubing and putting a small reservoir under the truck somewhere.

As a teenager I had a friend who was a welder and owner of a big old tough dodge power wagon. He had welded up a front bumper out of 6” pipe that also served as the air tank for his on board compressor. That was a truly awesome rock crawling monster.

Just ordered the ARB manifold from Rago. I'm pondering running a hose back to a quick-disconnect mounted in the rear bumper. That way I can reach the trailer tires without having to turn the truck around.

I know where it is but never done any business with them. They have been in that location for years, so hopefully that is a good sign.

Let me know if you want to get a beer when you come over!

Pulled my Desert Eagle cat plate off yesterday. It has been installed for 11 months and the hardware is pretty rusted. I’m actually surprised it came off without more trouble. Not sure it is going back on. Not happy about the bolt plates creating a rust starter inside the frame and definitely don’t want to lose access to my tranny. Grrr.
