What I saw related to reliability which is not exaggerated. Obviously you have never owned a tundra or you wouldn’t answer the way you do

Yes. Yes it is. As an old member on this forum I’d think you’d be able to do your own research.

I’m not an old member on this forum I have owned plenty of Toyotas reliability and resale are the main reason neither of which are exaggerated

Shouldn’t you be trolling the big three forums since nothing you posted is of any value here.

500,000 or 600,000 miles? Very much exaggerated.

No you’re on a Toyota forum and Have probably never owned a Toyota would be my guess just trying to get a rise out of people with no reliable information

3.7% of tundras have made it over 200,000 miles. It’s good but not 500,000 miles good.

Yes, the better equipped models are similar to the 3rd gen Tundra's payload numbers. However, both Ford and GM have crew cab 4x4 short bed half tons with over 2k lbs of payload. My father in law's XLT Supercrew EcoBoost 4x4 shortbed says 1838 on the door jamb, and a coworker's 2019 (same specs except 5.0) says 2013 lbs on his door jamb. Toyota had 15 years to come up with a solution to the #2 problem of the Tundra (#1 being fuel economy), and they didn't really move the ball on that front at all.
It's a well known fact that Toyota doesn't price high and do deep discounts on their trucks the way the big 3 do. And no, the legendary reliability of the 1st and 2nd gen Tundras is not anecdotal. Lol. Look at Dashboard Light. Exceptional rating. Among similarly equipped trucks, Edmunds had the 2nd gen Tundra as the cheapest to own over 5 years despite poor fuel economy because owners never have to spend money on repairs.

You can find a similarly priced Tundra, F150, Sierra, and a Ram from the same year–guess which one retains most of its purchase price after the warranty expires? The Tundra. Every time. This is not based on a small handful of trucks going extremely high miles. It's based on the fact that lots of them go high miles without issue, and the overwhelming majority of people don't have any problems. Everyone knowing that they're underrated, can take a beating, and will come back for more. The 2nd gen Tundra lags in every single category except for long term reliability.

I trust that in time the 3rd gen will have the same reputation for long term reliability.

Clearly you haven’t owned the Toyotas you say you do or you wouldn’t be on this forum questioning Toyota’s reliability calling bullshit unless you can prove it

Bought my Tundra for $45k. GM dealer quoted me $55k for a comparable truck and that was with a discount through my company.

How many domestic trucks have gone over a million miles since 2007?

So your logic is the guy who’s sick of people ragging on the new tundra is probably the guy who hasn’t had one? Interesting take.

It’s pretty simple if you have one post a picture or pictures of your previous Toyotas otherwise give it a rest and go back to the domestic forums

The last domestic vehicle I owned was an 89 ranger in high school. But don’t have a picture of that either. So probably didn’t happen. Are Toyotas reliable yes. But 500k? When saying he’s not exaggerating. Come on.

Also that’s usually the case here folks who own one and have issues are usually posting to see if others have had the same issue not baseless claims like you

That’s great you had a reliable ranger but you also posted that you owned multiple Toyotas surely you have a picture of at least one of them

Baseless claims? What are you even talking about? My claim is people are making the 5.7 more than it was by exaggerating.
