What makes you angry?

If you have to buy anything from a canteen food truck, never get anything unpopular on the menu. You never know how long it’s been there. I made that mistake and paid for it on both ends.

 

We were eating at one of the local family owned burger joints. Saw something scamper across the floor in the kitchen, mouse!
I called the owner over and told him, his reaction?
"Yeah I know." !!!!
What! At least bullshit me and act shocked but the way he nonchalantly said he knew. What did you name it?? Kill the Mudderpucker and clean the restaurant with fire!

China Buffet has never really been known for being clean outside the eating area, and sometimes not even in the eating area.

 

At the morning production meeting yesterday, one of the production supervisors said he had a line that was down all Thursday night because he could not get any support from the E & I shop. The night shift electrician was never called about the issue and there was no work order put in for it. I told my boss after the meeting that he had two choices: 1. He could have a talk with him or 2. I would have a talk with him. It really spins me up when someone tries to cover for their laziness/incompetence by blaming someone else.

 

No ticky no washy.
Someone emailed me requesting something done. They know I work on tickets. "Did you get my email?" "Yes but i didn't get your ticket".

 

Assholes, morons, and people who do not think before they speak. Ah fuck... Im DOOMED!!

 

When someone gets mad and goes against theyr word. I owe her a little money and it was "no worries pay me back whenever" but now that she is a little upset with my wife over some shit that has NOTHING to do with me its "I want it now or ima sue"
Ok first of all, how pathetic to sue a guy for $160 most of which were bday and xmas gifts and paypal says "happy bday" "merry xmas"... last I checked you cant sue me for a gift. Then she wants to get offensive and call me "trailer trash"... Fuckin hilarious coming from someone who pays big ass rent to live in an unfinished basement and gets treated like dog shit by theyr landlord (if he could scoop and toss they asses he would) but if im trailer trash, my trailer is my priority, not paying back this dumb bitch!! Im NOT SORRY bitch but if that is how ya wanna be than I wont pretend to care and Ill just say "take me to court bitch!! my costs are gonna be more than your sueing for and your just gonna look like a fuckin mook"
She actually doesnt even know how much I owe her, even after I gave her bank statements and a hand written sheet with all the dates and amounts that we have sent each other. Shes a dumbass and I hope karma is real, she deserves all the karma after that bullshit move... (Read that as "I hope she chokes to death on her own fucking spit")

On the other hand, sometimes these folks can be quite entertaining depending on what's coming out their mouth!

 

I don't like loaning money or things, and I don't like borrowing money or things (to/from individuals - business transactions with contracts are different) for this very reason. People get screwy when it comes to stuff like this. My own life experiences have shown me that nobody will screw you over harder than friends or family.

 

Huge changed in the company I work for, and so things have to be done differently. My department has a huge burden in this, but we are going at it full steam ahead and adapting to the new procedures and such as they come. Other departments, not so much. They keep trying to shunt their work to us, or not following procedures, and I don't know if it's the management of those departments not sharing the news or if it's just the guys working trying to cut corners, but I'm over it. Fingers are constantly getting pointed at my group, and we are continually on defense and having to cover our asses on everything. It's a shit environment.

 

We get a bit of that where I work too. I love to provide data and procedures that show exactly where THEY screwed up, and "train them up" on how to fix it themselves. Usually only takes a couple times and they stop coming at us with ridiculous claims about how "X" is screwing them. I don't mind if people ask for help, but if it deviates from facts and involves excuses or accusations I'm thoroughly looking at what YOU have done first and working back from there.

 

I have seen family screw each other over money and over hard property and lease agreements. My Mother used to be a landlord to one of my Uncles and an argument that arose from that kept them from talking for years. She had to ask him to move because another family member on the other side with more of a controlling financial interest in the property wanted to displace him and move into that house. At another point my parents rented this property to friends who arbitrarily decided to stop paying and that was a friendship down the drain.

I do not ever hand anything of significant value to a friend or a relative that I might ever need back.

 

Would love to, but the different departments are so completely siloed off from each other that every one of them runs like their own little country. It's the most disjointed and crappy business plan, and it was encouraged to be that way from the top. The chiefs of the company might be over multiple departments, but they made each department justify why they should get more budget. Easiest way to win a race isn't to run your hardest, it's to kneecap the other guys. Departments continually try to throw each other under the bus.

 

Good Lord, that IS toxic. At least where I am various departments recognize (to some degree) the interdependency and will generally work toward the common goal. There is still a fair share of finger pointing at times though.

 

Yup. It's a good ol' boy company, and if anything like this or other bad ideas are brought up they have literally responded with "We've been doing this for over 100 years. We know what we're doing."

 

Something that has been happening more often that pisses me off is forgetting things and not being able to figure stuff out. No shit, I forgot how old I am and I had to use a freaking calculator to figure it out because the math of it wouldn't work in my mind. I'm 37 freaking years old and I am forgetting simple crap like how old I am.

I have this weird tendency to question things I definitely know, all the time. Words, names, ages etc..

 

Oh, see I will legitimately forget my age. Side effect of not caring about my birthday. Combine that with questioning myself constantly, and yeah... I don't "know" anything.

 

I have forgotten both my birthday and my age. It gets a strange look when a 20 something blonde asks and I reply with "the heck if I know". But it pissed me off when I thought about it earlier and I couldn't remember or do the math.
More frightening and unfortunately more common is waking up and not remembering where I am.

 

Might wanna get that one checked out.

 

Birthday I remember because it's so commonly needed for adulting, and it's a holiday, so it's permanently burned into my brain. The number of times it has come and gone is the tricky part, and I suck at math in my head.

Have you had a concussion? They are finding these kinds of issues can present many years after the injuries.

 

I've have a couple of head injuries. Joke with some buddies that it's been knocked around enough that I can actually hear it rattle sometimes. Been checked out by docs and shrinks.

 

I could not remember if it was Dollar General or General Dollar this weekend.

 

We have a 3rd party who supports ERP systems and they have been throwing shit our way for a while.
"Oracle is slow, it's a network problem" for the longest time I've had a senior crew guy doing all these reports and traceroutes showing it's not a network problem. Lately I've been taking these tickets and responding with, "Prove it" and kick the ticket back.
Suddenly it's now a client issue....

 

I'd get fired. Still, I'm pushing to pay off some debt, possibly buy a new fun car, and then I can work at a gas station and make my bills, so...

 

I never remember people's names.
