New shoes. Wanted to go a bit bigger, but I still need to buy the

    - suspension
    - rims

As such, I got a set of the cheapest tires I could buy locally - Yokohama Geolandars for $892 installed, balanced, aligned, with 3 free tire rotations a year *and* a road hazard warranty. :)

Plan is to buy my new suspension and rims within about 4 months, then either ride out the tires to EOL, or sell them @ that point.

Edit: So I popped these in while the boy was in class tonight and just now got to see them in the dark. Holy cow they are bright! Also, I had no idea they did this ,,, but when you walk up to the cab with the key fob in pocket they light up. Maybe the factory bulbs did that too, but are not bright enough and I never noticed.

I bought a new to me set of Amber Max from @Juanjoolio007 about two months ago. I really like them as the spread is incredible. Lights up the sidewalks on both sides of the road driving home through the neighborhoods.

This is a new empty development by us, and you can see how far they spread out.

How are you liking the yellow? I'd love a set but I'm on the fence about which color temp I'd want. I know the yellow is far better for inclement weather but how do you like them on a clear night? I run my fogs all the time

What brand shell do you have on there? I will be getting one this summer and I'm looking to see which one has the best fit and appearance

    Considering Leer, SnugTop, and ARE

I like them. It is still strange with the auto headlights switching from all white to the combo, but they do help with the poor visibility. Overall I am happy with color and output.

I see a lot of people upgrade to these headlights. Are they the same that come on the Sport models?

Finished up my lighting upgrade. Had installed pro LED headlights and follow up this weekend installing LED fog bulbs. They are Alla switchbacks, in white they match the color of the headlights and in yellow, they seem to throw more light out to the sides of the truck which is nice. Very happy with everything! switchback white.jpg switchback yellow.jpg

I think there is a slight difference between the "smoked chrome" gray housings of the TRD sports vs the TRD Pro "Black" housings. Theres also a plain chrome I believe. Anyone feel free to correct me.

I put on the black TRD pros. If I started with smoked chrome, I probably wouldn't switch. If I had regular chrome, I probably would (assuming a very minimal net cost to do it).

Broke down and decided to paint the chrome trim on the center console. Used SEM black trim paint. I messed up the shifter surround so I'm waiting on the replacement part to come in before I put it all back together.

Ok, here are some better pics now that the truck isn't filthy. It's merely not clean (spring cleaning/decon/clay/wash/seal is still to come.) I had to over-brighten the pics so you could properly make out the wheels which are the point of the pics:

    brightWheels.jpg

    brightWheel.jpg

I'm still pissed at the garbage Weston steps which are less than a year old replacement for the less than a year old garbage they gave me the first time. Instead of buying new ones, my plan is to sand them down and spray them with bedliner. Does anyone know a relatively cheap spray that works well and is easy to use?

Wow...those wheels look awesome on that truck! Truck looks SSM in the picture. I have powder coated TRD off-road wheels on mine, but like these way better. Still hope to find a reasonably priced used set at some point.
If it makes you feel any better, my 6 mo old N-fab steps are getting shipped back tomorrow for the same corrosion issue. Not real confident the replacements will hold up any better, so I was contemplating going the bedliner route as well.

Like them so far, my biggest takeaway thus far is that I don’t nosedive nearly as much under heavy braking. Sharp bumps/potholes are also way smoother. Haven’t put it on dirt yet, so I can’t speak on that

Yeah the oem piece is plastic welded into place and you have to drill it out.
