So I have to update. I had my name on a list in Round Rock Texas and a day after telling my local dealership to take their QC held 1794 (which they still dont have) and shove it up their butts; Round Rock Toyota called and said they had a magnetic grey metallic Platinum if I wanted to come get it. Of course I said yes and went the next day and purchased it. This truck was in the COTA NASCAR race used as a lap truck and had 169 miles on it. They gave me a few grand off MSRP because of the use in a NASCAR race. It is a bad ass truck and I have had it a week and love driving it. On the flip side whoever is receiving a Platinum or 1794 check the exterior moulding/badging to make sure it is taped on properly. I took mine to the local dealer to warranty mine because I am seeing lifting of the badging due to improper taping onto the vehicle. IT still looks good and it will be fixed but just make sure you keep and eye out.

Does anyone know why some of us are having problems using the lookup? I tried it on Chrome and Firefox, both showed Page Can't be Displayed. Tried Edge, it also said it couldn't be Displayed, but after right clicking and going to "inspect" I was able to get in. Still, using my real VIN, there is nothing in the Preview tab.

Truck was originally promised by the dealership for April 12th delivery. I just called and now they're saying 25th or later. Would love to get this lookup feature working. What can I say, I'm just really curious/excited about knowing when I get my truck!!! Thanks.

Once you’re in, did you click Network then reload page? After that, I believe I would click response tab in the right hand page.

What's up, everyone - first post here. First online forum post since back in the TTORA days with my Frankenstein SAS 99 Tacoma...been a while haha. Getting right to it: Back in late Dec, I put a deposit down at two dealerships for a Tundra - specifically a 1794 with Off Road Package. The most ridiculous thing is in my region (Central Atlantic), the ONLY 1794's that have been allocated to the entire region have the Advanced Package, which I don't need nor want. It's been a lesson in frustrating mayhem trying to get my hands on one ever since, from the dealers telling me initially Toyota isn't making 1794 with OF (false), to the dealers trying to get me to take a Limited or 1794 with Advanced, to the endless delays everyone is familiar with. Sick of that, I finally did a lot of research and was ultimately able to get in touch with a district sales manager for the region. Once the dealer finally put in a buy/sold order on it, I was able to eventually get the attached email from the district sales manager, which at least gives me the slightest glimmer of hope. I have tried messing around with the guest.dealer.toyota link with the temp VIN, but have gotten nowhere. Can anyone assist, with that temp VIN? Also, no one seems to know how far out "build week 10" is. Any help is much appreciated!!!tundra info.jpg

I never had an eta date it was always empty value. Hopefully this gives some a positive view looking forward. I put a deposit down March 6, dealer had the allocation next day. Build date got pushed a couple times from March 26 eventually to April 7. Truck at dealership April 11. Amazed how fast it went with everything I wanted. 1794, 4x4, no advanced package. Winch chill pearl with saddle inside!

That's great, congrats again. My ETA has gone from 4/20 to 4/19 to 4/15 to 4/25 and back to 4/19 this morning. I was hoping to be able to take advantage of a light workday on Friday to go get it (7 hours away) but doesn't look like that's going to work out.

Can anyone tell me if I have a temporary VIN or not? 5TFNA5DB9NX08C244 and when I check the response and look through the JSON, I don't see an "ETA" field. Dealer Category is "A". Does that mean it hasn't even gotten a date to be built yet? Dealer told me mid-end of May for me to get it.

It looks like this is a temporary VIN:

    2. isTempVin: true

Ah okay, so will I see an ETA before a final VIN has been assigned? Any idea when an actual VIN would get assigned, and when it does, how do I find it?

Yes, you should have an ETA once it is scheduled to be built. Actual VIN is assigned on the day it is built. Your dealer will have to provide that to you.

Do you know what it was before it moved to "G" status though?

I'd be driving that 100 miles for sure........Definitely exciting.

"G" is for ground (menacing on the ground at destination

Sorry, I am not doing a good job of asking the question properly. Do you know what your ETA was when it was still in freight status? As in, did it come in during the window that was the ETA when it was in freight?

Anyone able to give any input on this last 8 digit temp vin I was provided by the regional office? I know it's set for a week 10 build, but no one can tell me when that might be, etc. Can't use the toyota website in first post - won't work with this limited info. Thanks!

If I put in a VIN, is it possible to see if the truck has been sold by the dealer already? Is the `isPreSold: true` what indicates if it is already reserved? Just wondering if using this and checking it against dealer websites that have trucks I am interested in would be a good way to see if it's available before calling them

That's the Toyota Daily screen or something. That's software or a website the dealer has access to. My salesman is a good guy that gets excited about special orders and deliveries and all the cool electronics. He has been just sending me screen shots once a week without my asking. He's good guy. Said I'll get a picture of it on the truck if he's here when its delivered.

Your salesman has access to that too.

Ugh, I got pushed again. Truck has been sitting on the railcar since March 31. Railcar is at the rail yard in KC, but I guess they don't have staff to unload trains? Anyway, now we are looking at late next week.

Mine was originally the same dates as yours. I jumped ahead a week and thought I would see it by the end of the week this week. Then, late yesterday afternoon it changed back to 4/19 - 4/25. I just looked again and it has changed to 4/18 - 4/23. So, I guess it get here when it gets here but I'm excited dang it! LOL

Hopefully you get it soon. I went by the dealership again Tuesday as I was in SPFD for other things and asked for an update. The wait list for Tundras is currently about 40 deep. I am supposedly 6th in line for an SR5 and was also told that since I'm listed for a TRD Sport, I am effectively higher than that, as most on the list are in for TRD OR or non-TRD SR5's. Also was told the list for Limited trim is 7 deep, and Platinum trim is 20 deep. I also have a preference for a Platinum listed with the dealership, but looks like I'd be waiting a long time if I went that route, so looking like it will be the TRD Sport most likely.

I assume you are talking about Reliable? I'm sure there is a line waiting for me to drop out on this 1794...going to make for a fun negotiation.
