Six inches of fuhking snow. Power is out. We have a tree leaning precariously close to the house (but thankfully clear off it).

    Happy Monday!

We’re loving it! 7” so far, here and still coming down. Power went out 4 times during the night and every time it comes back on, the door bell rang. Annoying.
If I can get to work today, I will work on a couple sheaths.

Power is out again, about 40 minutes now. Fireplace and the stovetop work just fine.
If it’s not back on by noon or 1:00, I will probably start the generator.

As long as he wasn’t in flip flops he should have made it. Those are like a RWD car in the snow. Fun but slippery.

In the 16 years I’ve lived here, we’ve only maybe three times had power outages last more than 12 hours. I have never been able to justify the cost of a full backup system for that. Someday I’ll get around to reworking stuff to at least get the well, tankless water heater, and freezer onto a cut-over circuit and buy something.

Actually, if you haven’t had a problem for 16 years, it’s obvious that you never will. I would just not bother with any backup power system. If you do have any issue someday, just run an extension cord to your neighbors garage. That “being prepared” bullshit is so yesterday’s boyscout stuff, anyway. What a waste of time and money!

Whelp just ordered some Race Relation Wheels. I know of some stories but they have a group buy on right now and the deal was too good to pass up. I went with the RR7 in a 17" in bronze. I'll most likely add the Beadlock ring at some point. 37s here we come
