OMG that is stunning…looks like you lifted the truck

You. Me. Another date night at Stack 571. About eight years from now. I might bet in the market for ten acres.

lately - I'm not sure which might be the better place to have to go to for major amenities though. Sandpoint ain't what it was when I was younger. I mean, in some ways it is, but in other ways not so much.

Yeah, you're right about Sandpoint. Lot of out-of-state transplants there.

that's been going on since before I was born. "californian" has been a bad word up there for a long time.

Hell, my parents were out-of-state transplants from WI.

But sometime in the early 90's, celebrities started to take more interest. When I worked at the grocery store in high school, it was pretty common to see a variety of big names from that time come through on their way to their various properties in the area. There was a place out to the east on the lake that would send in their cooks once a week and buy about $1500 worth of groceries (usually about 4-5 carts worth) and they were always buying really exotic stuff (which our store would stock specifically at their request). Working in the produce department, that was where my experimentation with different unique foods started - I remember at one point having 15 different varieties of melons in the produce department, and we had to taste them all to be able to explain the differences to customers.

There are a lot of them that come into the area to get away from the noise and the craziness. They get to know a few of the locals, keep a low profile, and contribute a lot to the local communities. And there are a lot that come and try to make it into a watered down form of what they left. It's the latter that has been ruining it. Of course, Sandpoint was a hippie/earth-muffin/artist town 30 years ago at the heart, but surrounded by lots of people that weren't so much that way. Now there's just a lot more of them spilling out into the rest of the countryside.

    I'll leave it at that...

the passenger side one has developed a gap where the front turn-signal frame connects to the frame/housing/shroud. I worked with their support to pull it apart and confirm that it's not anything easily identifiable that is causing it, so they want me to send it in for repair or replacement. The driver's side isn't doing it, so not sure what is going on for sure - they want to pull it apart and figure it out with their in-house research guys. They sent a pre-paid label and have been very responsive to my questions. It just means I've got to pull it off to send it back to them, and
    1. I don't want a gaping hole in my door for a couple weeks
    2. I don't want to look lopsided with one tow mirror and one regular mirror for a couple of weeks.

Finished up baseball practice before the rain settled in - chill the rest of the day with no plans ahead. Played early this week while my mom was in town and she was playing with the grandkids - got 3 rounds of golf in this week before Friday. Now just have to wait for the rain to clear next weekend

Cranked out 270 miles today. Best mod I’ve done by far is get rid of the TRD exhaust.

Even if you have the wire loom to accommodate the devices it’s highly unlikely that you will be able to program the truck to accept and recognize them

It could be done - I looked into it when I added BSM/RCTA. But it isn’t a small or easy job.
    You are looking at (minimum):
    Parking sensor ECU
    Switch
    6 sensors
New bumper caps front and rear
    New bumper valence rear
    New rear bumper wiring harness
All the wiring needed in the engine bay for the two front sensors.
All the wiring under the body To go back to the rear sensors
Potentially adding wiring in the cabin for the ECU and switch.

In my build thread is my BSM write up. Parking sensors would be more significantly involved than that was.

I don't mean to crash the party but got room for one more? I would love to get a look at/checkout some Kings and the rest of this awesomeness. I know of a shitty road thats just down the street...I bombed down it yesterday in the 4Runner on the way back from Eugene. The IM handled it awesome. Stayed planted and no crazy input from the bumps to steering.Today hit it at less then the speed limit in the Tundra and it was a bit bumpy. Not the same speed and not really apples to apples but at least I have some thing to compare it to. @BrunoTheRescuePup the highly maintained road I am speaking of is Day Rd. between Boones Ferry and Grahams Ferry.

Shit yea, we should all meet up. So after all the off-roading etc I can tell you these are stiff on the initial small bumps. Which makes sense as they’re not tuned/dialed in my rigs weight.

I may take them off and send them out to accutune but tbd. Over the larger fast hits it soaks everything up. I’m curious on how it’ll feel when the icon springs go in. Compared to pops’ total chaos kit it’s night and day. His is plush all the time and completely compliant.

I’m in town for the next two weeks before heading to Tampa for work for a few days. Let me know what day works for everyone.

Seems pretty easy to find these for less.B4759798-FAE8-4079-BEC4-B7FA336E83B7.jpgMany are in the $350+ range. I am glad mine came with the skidplate as standard equipment. The one with the red letters is pretty cool though. That wasn’t available in 2015
