yea the v8s are rare. i still see a fair few reg cab v6s. i have one of 2 v8 reg cabs i see locally.

 

you'd make a great technician.


i swear 90% of my job is just talking someone about why their car CANT do what they want it to do... i hate dealing with new cars.

 

I agree, there's a lot of "work truck" or landscaper first gens around here. I feel like I see more V6 than V8, especially in the RC category.

 

So... go to Dan when you have questions, not when you need him to work on your truck. Got it.

I wont have a regular cab ever again.


I might enjoy it with a 302/5spd, but as it is, it hauls my dirt and doesnt get insurance.

 

To some degree this looks fun, but I'm sure it gets old after awhile. If I did this as a full-time job I'd be worried about losing interest in it as a hobby. Also keeping track of hardware seems annoying.

 

i've grown to love the reg cab... no one bothers me to go get shit with them because they dont want to be in a 2 seater truck. LOL

 

honestly to get to this point was 1.5 hrs.. then 4 days till the correct transmission showed up. toyotas are easy.. you can toss all the fasteners in a bucket and you'll know where they go easy.. LOL they're built to come apart like this and make sense going back together


this is enjoyable to me.. and likely always will be.

If I could dabble a bit in what Dan does I think I would enjoy learning.

This is why I know I like someone I've never met in person - I appreciate people like @empty_lord, who understand basic facts; mechanics, general physics, earth is round idea (Geodesy), etc....and yet is not a snowflake.

I wash and scrub with Fast Orange if I'm going in barehanded.

In my limited and outdated experience, 2-stroke gets on the pipe quick, 4-stroke is reliable speed/torque. school away...
