Got the wheels put on. I'll have to wait for tires till I wear these one out. I've spent enough money lately...

    Wheel.jpg

Notice the rusted out (crap) Weston steps? They're less than a year old replacement for the last set which were rusted out in less than a year. I keep my truck decent most of the time (weather has been crap so it's obviously filth right now but I do clean it on the regular.) So no excuse for these to be so bad.

And, wide angle fisheye effect isn't the best...

I did said the same for tires on my Tacoma, after 5 years and 48k miles (they still had life left) I changed them anyway, I figured I was patient enough to treat myself.

I told myself the same thing on the tundra, after doing rims and tires in the first year after only like 3-4K miles, but then I saw a deal on some rims, bought those, and then got tired of seeing tire prices continue to go up, and realizing. Drive so little it could be more then 5 years before needing tires. So after 5 months and only 900 miles I got new tires and rims lol.

You look levelled. Interested to know if you kept stock UCA's. I was given the advice by a Toyota alignment guy to move to aftermarket UCA's with stock wheels and levelling (2.25"), and am finding a dearth of options whose manufacturer's specs allow for stock wheels without spacers. Yours are +60 offset and are tucked a little more than my +50's; so if you have more forgiving UCA's installed, they'll likely work with my setup. Thanks, and nice truck.

For the MESO the shifter blackout is different (I have the AJT on the truck and the MESO waiting for it to get back home) the MESO has a plate that seems to mount or possibly replace the chrome. Whereas the AJT just snaps over the chrome.

Yea the meso one replaces the whole thing, you have to take off the shift gate area, flip it over there’s a handful of very small plastic welds, use a razor blade to just take off the head of the weld, then it should pop off, the new Meso one just pushes in place and uses the original posts that the heads got cut off of.

You'll need to glue the meso one too, otherwise it will pop out if you press on it!

Meso goes for more OEM replacements rather than stick on parts. Same for the vent rings. It’s a bit more work but you know when you install it, it’s going to stay there.

Also close same clearance / flush mounting for protrusion instead of adding a part or piece to an existing piece resulting in a bulge look / feel.

    ….. if that makes sense.

It does it was actually the one thing about the other guys part that worried me. I'm not always gentle when throwing around the shifter and the idea of it being able to pop off at any point was something. But the ease of install was nice.

Quick change but much better in my book. Installed my marketplace find tailpipe with black tip. Dirty Deeds needed more than the stock naked pipe lol. 960144A5-48ED-48CA-B769-51C4F40DCB7A.jpg

KO2's have been known for balancing issues and they are also stone magnets.

I got them because I love the looks of BFG, kind of regret getting the e rated tire tho as I could definitely notice the weight. But it’s not my daily driver so all in all I’m happy with them. Also, I’ve never had a/t’s on any of my other trucks so I’m probably not the best person to ask lol
