The only issue I have with the RCI's right this second is that they don't have cat shields. Not that I would buy the cat shields immediately anyways but want the option to. I've heard they are working on them but haven't seen them yet. We don't have a big issue with that in my neck of the woods that I am aware of, however would like the piece of mind.

Ah, never even considered that. I'm blessed that where I live that crime is low as well but I totally get wanting the option if things go south.

 Excited to hear the comparison since you will have driven the Tacoma and the Frontier in the same week.

Honestly, the Tacoma I drove was not very nice so the Nissan will look extra great. It had no power seat so the seating position was weird, it had terrible take off shudder, and the alignment was effed. Pretty much all it achieved is showing me that there was sufficient power :rofl:They did a terrible job cleaning it too because in this vehicle market they know they can sell absolutely anything.

The other day it was a Model 3 Performance. Teslas have sentry view- so it records all movement near your vehicle. You can always bust out the app and talk to them via loudspeaker too :smokertransformer:

Man dealerships are ridiculous! They tried to re-opt me into texting again and left another voicemail saying that she wasn't able to get a hold of me and that if I don't opt in to text she'll call me and leave me another voicemail

I've never driven a modern manual car so I have no idea what I'm missing, but, I learned to drive manual in my grandpa's 53 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. That truck had a very touchy clutch engagement and no power steering, I would rather walk than drive that thing in Portland traffic

Man, not sure about that Tacoma… they didn’t even spell Toyota correctly. QC must have taken the day off…I’d walk away and find another dealer, but that’s just me.

Okay Mr. @GODZILLA and anyone else who cares the test drive is done. Was a no option sv so this was a powertrain test mostly. It was comparable to the Tacoma I drove in some situations and better in others. From a dig it's definitely faster, but from some speeds you'd expect a 9 speed to find a little more power instead of matching a Tacoma. Still adequate at all speeds though. I see what people mean about heavy steering at slow speeds. If I was elderly or otherwise lacking in physical strength it'd be rough. Again, not an issue, but notable. Wind noise and road noise were a little louder than the Subaru but you'd expect that from a body on frame truck. So right now what it boils down to is availability and options for the money. Going to be patient and play it by ear.
