Update the MPG settings?

My apologies if this is buried in another post somewhere, but can't seem to figure out how top reset the MPG, either by trip or by refilling the tank... tried searching the owners manual, but "mpg" is only referenced one time. My 2009 CrewMax had a manual reset button, which set the MPG back to 0.0 whenever you wanted to... surely this computer with a steering wheel I'm driving now has that function? Appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

 

You can change it on the settings on the odometer dash. Go to vehicle settings, there is a leaf and then you can choose from there if you want how mpg is calculated. On the stereo go to the vehicle icon and you’ll see your history, you can reset in there.

I have an SR5 OR with the 4” screen, so not the full digital screen.

 

I think you just hold down the 'ok' button to reset your mpg. Push the 'ok' button in. It acts as a button also instead of just up/down.

I think the screen also tells you to hold it down to reset.

I see where I can reset/clear the data, but not where to change how it's being calculated... currently set to "this tank" (or something similar), wanted to change to "this trip" so I could see mileage pulling my 12' utility trailer with 2 yards of topsoil on it. I can see the bar graph, but wanted to get a more realistic average. Thanks for info.

 

Not sure on the 2022s, but on my 2019 it gives a trip summary when I stop and turn off the truck. Can't open the door or it hides it, but it might be similar on the '22s.

 

There’s tank average and trip average that you can change in the settings. Look at page 97 in the manual.

you have success reseting this. I push in the OK button and it does dick. Same for resetting it on the nav

Buried, indeed.

 

I will have to mess with it. I can get it to here no problem, but I cannot reset the MPG to zero...so it starts recalculating tomorrow. I can hold the OK button in but it does FA on my truck
