I also ordered the Bakflip F1 from real trucks a couple of days ago. The email confirmation said that it should arrive from 4/6 to 4/11. I'm ok with waiting a bit.

Note sure if it's been noted, but the tailgate on my truck won't pop open due to the bed cover gasket applying just enough pressure to hold it up. This is with the OEM bed cover. Renders the elbow button and the key fob button basically useless.

Mine does that occasionally I found if you hit the fob release button a second time it will open also apply a silicone lubricant to seal and that does the trick

Here are some photos of the Gator SFX tri-fold tonneau cover on my double cab with a 6.5ft bed. I paid $240 plus tax. If people are interested, I'll update this post after I see how it handles its first rain.

Edit: removed photo that didn't show a helpful angle.

I had the same one on my 2020. It was great. Super low profile and I think much better looking than the shiny vinyl types. Super easy to put on and take off and rolls up nice and tidy out of the way. Thinking I will get the same for my 2022 when it arrives.

I received the Undercover Armor Flex today at 1230. The install took me about 2hrs. The instructions are OK but could be better. Lots of text, and diagrams and pictures. The sales rep told me the install would take about 45 minutes. I think the main reason it took me so long is I did it by myself and on a side note I'm 70 yrs old which might have something to do with me being slow. I'll give it 41/2 out of 5 stars. Looks great, Thanks.

Any 70 yr old installing truck accessories on that beautiful truck is young in my book. Good for you.

Love my Diamondback Cover. I’ve hauled hundreds of pounds up top on my previous one. Wired up additional LED lighting piggybacked off the bed lights, compressor, and switch box.

I’m seriously considering the Diamondback SE cover for my Tundra hybrid on order. Are you able to walk around on top of your cover without concern? I’m looking at installing the frontrunner rack on mine to mount two mountain bikes and I’d like to know I can stand on the cover when securing the bikes without concern. It’s a jump to the HD cover price wise, which would likely be overkill for my needs. Thanks.

You can walk around on top no problem. My first diamondback cover I mounted my mountain bikes up top as well. I don’t do SXS or ATV’s so I don’t need the HD either, and I am not a small man :)

Just installed my Rough Country tri fold and it doesn’t fold up to the cab but is pretty easy to take off. Just have to loosen four bolts by hand and take off. So far I like it but interested to see how water tight it is. Seemed to fit pretty well and the drain tubes are pretty large so I don’t see them gunking up and clogging.

Ordered the Rough Country tri-fold after reading this thread on 3/25 (https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-low-profile-tonneau-cover-47514551.html), was pleasantly surprised to have it show up at my door on Sunday when I wasn't expecting it to ship until mid-to-late April. Overall install was relatively easy and fit is great on the '22. I may have missed the answer, but has anyone figured out a decent way to run the drainage tubes without drilling into the bed?

    Other notes/observations for those wondering:
-Supplier rail installs into factory rail, doesn't appear as if factory tie down thingies will fit, and would be a pain to try to put them on temporarily if/when it is secured open (would have to unscrew mounting bolts). Definitely doable, but annoying, wasn't expecting this. Seems like a nice feature of the OEM/BackFlip ones, but you pay extra for it.
-Was bummed to see that the tailgate does not "auto-open" with the fob or bumper/button on the tail light, but honestly I don't see how it could be weather-proof otherwise. The seal on the rear tailgate is very tight, in a good way. Opens manually easily enough, and maybe will wear down over time as someone else in this thread mentioned.

Overall I'm pleased and it will serve it's purpose to protect cargo until the toppers are readily available, at which point I'll sell it. $699 wasn't too bad :)

Looks great. Just to clarify though, I couldn't be able to use the tie-down cleats in the factory cargo management rails?

I ordered the Diamondback SE today. With military discount, free shipping it was a good deal @ $1640. It has the rugged good looks, durability to support my 275lbs., makes cleaning the cab easier, secures my hobby valuables, camping gear and once I fab the brackets to secure the front forks of our Triathlon bikes SUPER functional! Can't wait.

The bed has holes in it already, if you have a spray on liner, they just covered them. They are easy to spot from underneath if you just want to open them back up.

The tailgate has been discussed a few times, just spray silicone on the fins and it should work fine. The more patient forum members claim it will just break in over time, but I want my stuff to work properly now!

Ha, thanks - great tip on the silicone, I’ll give that a try - hard to dig through every post some times, or see if questions have been answered. Also, yes - spray liner was mandatory from the dealership - I’ll poke around to see if the holes will be big enough without drilling - that would be fantastic! However they aren’t completely covered and look very small, and IIRC they were pretty small on my ‘18 Tacoma without the spray liner, the tubes that come with it look to be ~.5”? Will have to check when I get back in town.

Correct - it looks like they would interfere with the cover closing all the way.

    Beautiful truck bud!
    2WD?
    I'm considering a SR5 DC 4WD TRD Sport.
Any chance you'd consider weighing your truck with nothing but a full tank of gas? I'm curious to see if the payload on the door jam sticker is accurate.
    Thanks!

I had an Undercover Armorflex on my 2021 F150 and just ordered one for my 2022 Tundra.

Also Undercover is offering a $100 rebate on the Armorflex in April.

Installed a Truxedo ProX15 last night and really like it. Problem with the latch though. If tailgate is up prior to closing like it's supposed to be the latch doesn't engage before cover contacts the tailgate. There's too much flex from the drivers side deck rail. Tried adjusting both tension and the deck rail with no luck. If tailgate is open it latches fine.
Anyone have this situation with the ProX15 or any other cover and find a good solution? Looking for thoughts on how to address this. Like the cover but if closing it properly is going to be an ongoing issue i'll have to look at other options.

I am struggling with the same issue on the X15 with my Tundra. I am working Truxedo to figure it out but with flexing near the latch I don't think this ever going to work.

Just got off the phone with them and was told to loosen the mount brackets and have someone stand on the side of bed putting upward pressure on the rail while tightening. In other words, have them pull up and out on the rail so as to try tipping the top of rail towards them. Said this has worked for others and is common.
Will give it a try tonight and report back but if you ask me the rail flexes too much when pressing down to close. It should be stiffer than it is.
