my wife and I are weird - it’s gotta be pretty amazing for us to eat out. Most of the time, we’d rather just cook at home. I think it goes back to how I wooed her on our first date - by making her dinner.

 

Our family are escape room nuts. We’re actually doing one tomorrow.

When we were in Palm Springs last spring, we did one every night. The one place was a titanic theme - we beat it in 20 minutes. There was one place down there that had since really good ones…really well built and good puzzles. We’re still unbeaten though.

 

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had to push a hook through.

 

I was really disappointed how big of a pussy I was, all this training and I folded! Even my other buddy who is a Eagle, was like, so you just pushed it out right?

I’ve unfortunately had to be around a few hairy situations that I have been very glad for all my first aid and outdoor training. A probably has more to do with the jackasses I ran around with when I was young

it was partially my fault when I cut the treble, I cut it way to close to the curve, so when I was trying to “push” it thru, I was really just like jamming it and not piercing thru the skin. I almost passed out on the lake because I was trying, and watching the skin turn white as it tried to go thru from below, but him yelling at me as I’m trying made me get super light headed hahaha
Even this nurse that was at the lake couldn’t get it thru/out, I really wish she could have because the drive down the mountain takes a good hour and a half plus!!!!
Best part was they told him to take antibiotics and he’s like hell no……..
Hahahah he went back to the hospital a week later, he took them after that trip

 

Lmfao - nothing like fish hook “stuff” in the blood stream to necessitate some antibiotics!

 

Haha later that week at work, is when it happened, he’s like why is my finger all puffed up and I can’t move it? Hahahaha I’m like I don’t know?

 

Best part was the game warden knew exactly how many fish were in the boat, didn’t care how many empties were in the boat, and didn’t have any interest in helping with the hook. He had been glassing us all day; while we killed it!!!

 

Throw some pickles out and I call it a fancy dinner!!
