Tire Pressure Display

Anyone know if it is possible for the DIS to display actual real-time tire pressure readings. The manual talks about the TPMS but doesn't say a thing about how to display the tire pressure readings......certainly this new Tundra must have the capability to do so.

Mine always shows the real time tire pressures once the vehicle is running.

 

Mine doesn't...which trim level do you have? Where does it display the actual pressure?

 

Limited. Sounds like an issue. You just have the blank lines for each tire on the screen? I often get that until I start moving.

 

Negative, I don't have anything and I have tried going through the driver information center settings and don't see the option to turn it on. Ive got the 1794.

i have a 1794 and it took me 2 weeks to figure it out after my girlfriend with a Highlander showed me. BTW, the manual says nothing.

Press the right arrow button 3 times on the left side of the steering wheel( icon with car and an I). Then press the ok button down 3 times. TPMS should display.

 

This worked for me.

Thanks for the tip, it worked. This thing is definitely a "smart truck" that sometimes has an attitude. . Now to conquer pulling a trailer. Geaux Tigers!

 

Does anyone know if the Toyota system can display additional tires, such as on a trailer? Ford and others apparently allow adding additional TPMS sensors to the system.

 

It was hard enough finding where the truck tire TPMS was, seriously doubt that trailer tires are on there.

 

thanks for this, went through all the options today to check pressure and couldn't find it, obviously missed it

 

typically toyota ecu's can only hold 5 sensors in memory if i recall correctly (well at least the old ecu's) most now a days only hold 4.


on a side note, the ecu's can only hold 4 or 5 key fobs in memory also.

once you max out, you have to delete via techstream.

 

doesn't the 22 hold 8 sensors? thought someone posted that here

 

im having this issue with new 2025 tundra. The dashboard display doesnt show a screen for the tire pressure. The app on my phone does. Surely there is a way to get it on the display. The only options i have under TPMS is setting pressure....identify each wheel and one other cant remember now but of no help. Anyone run into this?

 

@dcook It is in the same screen as the trailer set up, just scroll down.

 

i thought so too but its just not there....here are pics from settings screen which show TPWS but nothing in them shows air pressure on tires even though the app on iphone does.

Sounds like yours didn’t get initialized at the dealership. Have you ever gone through the Set Pressure procedure? You get to set yours correctly…mine are, and always have been, a few pounds off from my analogue air pressure gauge (and any other gauge used). Mine looks like @DRP.

 

But do you have as much dust on yours as I do?

 

@DRP nope, not since I wiped it down, a few days ago! Pollen season is finally coming to a close, here.

 

When i read this i thought well i have looked at that and it wasnt there but i went back and looked again and there it was!
Thanks! Now i got the get the bars to display the psi lol.....i did try setting the tire pressure but i get the orange blinking icon that means it didnt work so ill have to get it out on road and see if that helps.

 

Again and again, no one reads manual. You payed so much money and do not spend time to understand the thing you bought!

User manual, page 96 AND 97 explains about "Driving support system information" with includes tire pressure monitor and how to get there.

 

I believe it's two sets, ten in total (five tires in each set which includes a full-size spare if you've had the spare tire sensor programmed).

Someone who reads the owners manual to resolve a question is considered "smart"? What are those who don't read the manual known as?

 

busy working maybe....and btw page 96 and 97 dont have that info in my manual so maybe dont be such an a** next time.
