I don't think you'll find an exhaust that increases MPG, and even if it does a small amount, you'll never recoup what you spend on it. Same goes for cold air intakes.

Why do I see all these people saying that you will? I mean if I drive the truck 10 years and it gives me 2 mpg with a k&n filter installed then it's worth it plus if I get extra hp

Idk maybe it will but 2 mpg seems like a stretch for new exhaust and air filter. If that were the case wouldn't Toyota do that from the factory?

I'm going to eventually get real rubber on my pro. Im retiring in January and moving to Oregon, so I will be putting around 2,500 miles per round trip. Once the ordeal is over I am getting some new skins! Everything else is about right. Rear diff skidplate will be nice, but not yet in production...

My MOD is complete and the exhaust sounds awesome. I tried to make a first start up video but my dogs immediately started barking because of the new sound, and then my girlfriend told them to shut the fuck up, and then she came outside and said the truck sound stupid(kidding) so LOL the video was a wash.

My next mod hopefully will be installing a light bar I built into my trim piece on the upper section of my grill. This is on a 2nd gen. I haven't seen anything like this. I got the idea from seeing all of you 3rd gens installing the light bar in the variance on the hood. I like the look.

I'm getting a Southern Style Offroad oem slimline bumper in black powder coat, a warn Xeon 10s platinum winch, and Baja designs s8 lightbar. Oh yeah can't forget the 2 red D rings lol. I've heard a ton of people mention it without actually purchasing it so when it gets here I'll do you all a solid and post a nice writeup with pics of my review and install. Got a couple more on the future sooner than later list retro heads, tails, 3rd, and fogs. When it all done and I got the time I'll do a build thread to return the favors, advice, and ideas I've got here. If interested keep an eye out for a thread I'll start detailing everything about my experience with Southern Style Offroad. Can't wait.

Mark my words, u will love it and probably question why u didn't do it sooner. Only thing that sucks about it is having to take it off if u plan to do any serious offroading. When it's on and you on the road it greatly reduced the bed bounce and body roll. Between that and Elkstroms shackle and steer kit, it feels as if my truck is glued to the ground. Handling and bounce is greatly improved. Feels like a tundra-vette now.

K&N cold air was the worst mod I ever did to my old truck (Tacoma). It let the MAF sensor to get gummed up and it threw everything off. It leaned out the injectors and ruined them. Had to get 6 new injectors for about $1000. So you're not get your money back that way. I'll never buy another K&N product.

Back to the thread: My next mod will be Phillips LED headlights. After that hopefully a Baja Designs LED bar in the hood bulge.

I've had a k&n filter on all my trucks and cars and never had a issue , maybe you wasn't cleaning and oiling it right ?

The oiling is what caused the problem. Maybe I'm just one of the unlucky few but it cost me a few bucks to find and fix the problem when I had to smog it and quite a few headaches. And the filter fell off because of the stupid design they have. Hose clamp on a round taper. Are you fucking serious?

Couldn't help myself. Just pulled the trigger, will be here Monday an AMI big stick 12 inch antenna, no more worrying about breaking the female mount on hood hitting garage everytime in and out.

Better than the cold air set up. I did use that before I did the cold air mod and didn't have any problems I can remember.

Ahh what the hell, did it again, woops. I mean what's a mod addict with little patience to do while he awaits for his sso slimline oem bumper, warn platinum Xeon winch, s8 BD lightbar, and just now beefier but shorter antenna? I know they'll be here Tues, buy the front and rear footwell kit along with 2 map, 2 dome, and 4 vanity VLED interior bulbs. Yup, just did it. Just to prove my OCD feeling like I gotta get everything done yesterday I feel a little better least getting those things done while I wait for the big purchase to be fabricated and delivered. Here's my lack of patience kicking in again, I wanted the 5k pure white Vleds but they're on a 4-5 week backorder. So I talked myself into thinking on my Pro's black leather and blue illuminated dash buttons the 6k would look nice too. Lol.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
My next mod is the exhaust, BaMuffler Budget system, likely will not install the Helmholtz resonator. Then after that the plan is as follows:
    Center Console organizer
Different aftermarket Head Unit (Likely a Kenwood), the Jensen VX7022 has been disappointing...
Then a sub under the back seat.
    Spray-in Bed liner
    Firestone air bags
Larger tires and wheels (likely will be 35s, no "re-gear" needed)
3-6 inch lift, not too sure on this
    Improved "shocks"
    Headlight conversion to HIDs
    Warn winch
Ripping the carpet out and covering in a Bed liner material or a rubber material...
Different grille with "Raptor Style" metal "Tundra" Logo
    Miscellaneous water-proofing
    Australia-imported snorkel

Dang, most of these are just "dream Mods" that are likely going to never happen, lol. However the following will for sure happen in the next 2 years:

BaMuffler Budget system, likely will not install the Helmholtz resonator.
    Center Console organizer
Then a sub under the back seat.
    Spray-in Bed liner
    Firestone air bags
Larger tires and wheels (likely will be 35s, no "re-gear" needed)
    Improved "shocks"

Looks like hell of deal if they hold up no flicker n no fuse popping. I plan on doing some outside light mods so only need to change interior. I paid a bunch for it but I'm a big believer in getting what u pay for. Good luck with them. Let us know after some use how u make out. I'm sure people would love to find a very reliable, good looking, replacement bulbs that are not cheap but inexpensive. I know they out there, just got to find. See how yours do after some time and if no issues and look great create a thread with a promo. Good luck with it.

Working great so far and nice and clean crisp light the vanity mirror lights are so bright I feel like a woman looking in one of those makeup mirrors that has the lights around it . Built solid and went in with ease. I really enjoy the floor board light on driver side , I thinking there has to be a place to order the same plug oem style and run same light on passenger side I don't know why the truck didn't have both?!
