phone as isp

I have a 2021 Tundra. Does anyone know if I can use my android phone as an isp for my Tundra? My tundra has it's own internet connection but the trial period is about to run out. I am retired and don't drive enough to justify the $8 per month or $80 per year. I routinely use my ipad using my phone as an isp.

 

The Tundra doesn't use an internet connection that I know of, it only provides a WiFi hotspot if you subscribe to the service.

 

$8 / month? where were you quoted this? I was remembering ATT quoting me 20 or 25/month

 

Use your phones Hotspot to connect directly to the iPad. No need to try to go through the truck.

 

Not trying to go thru the truck, trying to get the truck to connect thru my phone.

 

I may be confused, that popped up on the screen in my truck. But that may be for the toyota connect not the wi-fi. But I also saw where toyota connect included wi-fi. So I really don't know enough about it to talk about it.
