I saw when CBI first posted this bumper on their instagram about a week ago, I wanted it. My only concern is with the Air dam, which has to be removed. Is there a work around for the airdam yet? I'm sure it'll cause a error message if you unplug the air dam motor and there are no bypass yet with this bumper.

To be fair...if you have the power air dam, then you'll run into this with any bumper (most likely).

Side note...I didn't think any SR or SR5s had the powered air dam. My TRD OR SR5 doesn't have it. Maybe it's only on the SR5s with the TRD Sport package since that's supposed to be more of a "street truck."

Yeah. I figured the air dam would be problem on my TRD sport. Just thought there be a way to disable it yet. Tried looking through techstream, no luck. I've seen base SR5 without trd packages with Airdam. Think only the TRD offroad package removes it, which makes sense for offroading. Airdam would take a beating.

Thinking brutally here, could you leave the connector attached and lift mechanism in place and just saw the physical dam off? This way the system is thinking it’s doing it’s job but there is nothing to flip down.

Probably. It would depend on the way this is monitored. If the system if monitored by air flow(doubtful), then no, you'd likely still get a light. If it is monitored by a position sensor in the dam actuator, then yes, leaving it attached would be a valid work around. If the position sensor is separate from the actuator, then you could still make a work around, but it'd be more complicated. Of course there is always a little electrical tape over the check engine light.....

I have seen the air dam on SR5s without TRD packages. The only Tundras without it I know of so far is SR5 TRD ORs.

I'm also interested in this. I'm worried it'll look too busy with the lines of the TRD grille. Those ditch light brackets look enticing though.

Do you have a link for the light you used in the glove box?

Curious how the grill light bar will look with the various grills. The SR grill is basically straight bars, so pretty easy. The SR5 TRD and Limited grills are more intricate with the "cross hatch" (whatever you call it) design so I'm curious what the lightbar looks with those grills.

Looking forward getting some amber lights. Either by swapping out the factory fog lights or adding an amber light bar (or both). Amber is pretty critical where I live due to the dust. When trailing another vehicle throwing up dust, you can't see anything with standard white lights.

Has anyone done a chrome delete or black out on the limited trim? I've ordered the decal black outs from Sparks, but would like to find something for the window trim.

Next weekend, I'm planning to throw a few coats of plastidip on the mustache and rear bumper panels and follow it up with some duplicolor to match the body.

I figure if it doesn't turn out, it'll peel off.

I had mine wrapped, but you can order the window trim in black. @Roman here on the forums can order them for you.

Is it actually a Toyota part? I can't find them on Sparks and my local dealers site.

No. Never heard of them, but interesting idea. Certainly cheaper than swapping out the entire lens. I guess we'll see who gets something to market first.

You know it's cut to fit so if you even wanted to (I don't know why you would) put some on your headlights like bifocals, you could, then get the best of both worlds in one shot. :)

If you get a chance, can you take a pic with the door open? If you're feel up to it, give us a pic with your shoe on the rail and the door open. You know, for science.
