Lbj let go at 70mph on i10. About 5 years ago.

 

You'll get a letter saying they received it, then another after 30 days, saying it could take another 90. Then if you're really lucky another saying it'll take another 90..repeat.

I've had far more interaction with the IRS than I ever could've dreamed and it's all been terrible.

Best part was when then sent me a letter saying the debt was cancelled, then when I called they said it was an accident and I never should've got it. Still have that letter and haven't ever gotten another from them.

 

So shib.

I began some exciting projects today - lighting, gauge - both non-starters. Sometimes you gotta see what won't work. I changed the oil.

 

I've always wanted to cruise up to an autozone in a Ferrari and ask "you got an oil filter for this?

But as a close follow up I'd love to drive up to an alignment shop with that and ask "Can you get me into spec? Don't give me any of that toe-and-go either"

 

Go to any auto parts store and ask for a clutch for your Ford taurus. You get wtf looks.

 

I guess the dealership didn't wanna sell the bike. She went up there to buy it and nobody acted like they had time to help her and they told her to apply online. So she did and never heard back today. So we found a z400 (naked bike, but the same) in OKC that were gonna get some info on tomorrow. Bout a grand cheaper and used So it won't have dealer fees added. I guess they shoulda made time to make a sale.

 

This reminds me (not sure why) of a moment in college I had. Two teammates of mine were goating each other.

Same here. Sad to hope he just went wild on his bay and ended up in jail or something. Hope he is okay

 

A year ago late November on a Snowy Saturday I went to a nearby bike shop. Was going back & forth between two 400ABS's they had in the show room. Everyone was too busy to acknowledge me except the parts guy. Asked if I needed any parts, told him loudly enough - not yet, need the bike first. Still no one could be bothered so I left. Not going to force anyone to take my money.

I really prefer buying used from owners.
3x I've taken used cars to be checked out by a dealer the dealer got it wrong.

You've just got to be a renaissance man, know enough, rely on yourself.
If you meet someone with skills & a good work ethic, make them your friend.

Add me to the list, went ahead and pinged him today to say I'm sure he's getting blown up, but checking in to see if he's alright.

Logically doubt it's a broken phone. Man has a computer too. Wouldn't be concerned, but given the tone and content of his last posts...

 

Weirder still, those last drunkard post or two went bye bye. Not in the BST thread either. Assuming he may've just taken a mental health break. Hopefully nothing catastrophic on the job. Checked the news, no dice.

Hey guys, do any of you have Noah’s address, from times you’ve traded truck parts? Maybe drop him a postcard and put your address or phone number on it. That way, if he’s hurt or something, whoever receives and reads the card, may give you an update.

It’s a little forward for an interweb forum but, as he is an established member of our elite 1st gen community here— and usually checks in regularly— probably not out of bounds. I can think of two valued members that I reached off-line this way over the years, and one we lost but a roommate logged in to give us an update.

 

I’ve reached out to who I think is his good buddy Wyatt from his old job. Hopefully will hear back by tomorrow(I assume stupid work schedule just as Noah had there)
I’ve also lerked harder, and found closer relatives, but maybe shifty is right, maybe he’s just getting his head clear, I’d like to think that’s the case, we all do.

 

Rumor is he bought a new half ton Tradesman with the V6, and has been active on Ramforum

 

I was a little worried someone let him test drive a first gen titan. But a ram, he’ll be back.
