I have reason to believe the constantly changing energy fields from a hybrid or electric vehicle are harmful to your body.

Regenerative braking is a pretty cool idea. Except for the energy fields the passengers are subjected to.

I also believe EMF effects on people are a real thing even if it's the subject of ridicule. I'm also a proponent of new energy vehicles, such as electric. :anonymous:

It stands to reason. Our physical bodies are bio-electrical machines. Electricity 101 teaches you that electric currents produce electric fields, and electric fields produce electric currents. Ergo, outside electro magnetic fields have to influence our internal electrical systems, and I can't see how it could be for the better.

"subject to ridicule" usually means there's truth that some entity is trying to suppress because they have no other way of attempting to shut it down.

Just don't park it in your garage, because if it catches fire, you can not put the fire out.
Look what happened on the ship coming from Europe, the crew could not put the fire on the electric auto.
The ship went down with 4,000 new auto's on it.

I’m going to look at a house tomorrow next to a 115kV transmission line :monocle:

Edit: it does have a pool and water slide, so please take that into consideration :D

I like everything about the Rivian.

    Except the front.

If something ever happens to my beloved '20 1794....I will look at Rivian.

not so much the Hummer...you have to charge it twice as long for the same miles.

get this...My wife went 1003 miles & the Model S used $33 of electrons. that's like 124mpg (comparing to $4 gas)

Is that using your own juice at home or charging out in the wild? I constantly hear everyone say the infrastructure isn't there for electric vehicles, but if you have a house, you should be able to "top off the tank" literally every night. Personally, I don't drive a few hundred miles EVERY day when I would need to use the supercharger network.

other than a rare long trip, we only charge at home. this amount was all home charging.

    ~$.09 home rate

    ~$.28 Tesla supercharger rate

We plug in when it goes in the garage. The wife has a full tank every morning.

I drove it last night to run an errand.

It appears the Rivian is a 3sec truck...which is only marginally slower than this car.

I know I've said it before....it's brutally fast.

This American made 4 door sedan can accelerate faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo S EVERY time. and with the sound deadening feature turned on...all you hear is the 1000watt stereo playing Metalica's "One".

Having a truck (Rivian)be able to perform like this is a whole new world.

and I'm still running the mis-matched Perelli. too cheap to order the Michelin. I reckon all tires are round and black.

I heard part of a story on the radio about a lot of charging stations having reliability issues. Basically, unless you have a Tesla, the charging stations have to be compatible with all vehicles and the manufacturers are having issues with that right now. So they're touting a lot of numbers as to how many stations are being built but nothing about how many are being maintained or are actually functional say a year later.

I'm still new to this (Dec-21)...and I hear the same. whenever we see a "public" charger, there is never anyone on it.

We have never considered charging at any other station other than a Tesla.

all of our driving is Houston area.

It's quite odd....the only EV's I see are Tesla cars. I may see one of those little BMW's every blue moon. There is one Taycan in my neighborhood.

All this talk about EV's is simply giving Tesla air time as there is no viable competitor.

    Porsche is too expensive
    Rivian is not selling much/avail
    Volvo...nobody buys that crap.
    GM..it's flammable
    Hummer...are they delivering yet?

    what am i missing?

Only Tesla can charge at SC’g stations. We can charge at other, non Tesla SC’g stations with an adapter. It just won’t charge as quickly compared to a Tesla

Kia has a new EV. Many from the Tesla FB groups I’m on have test drove them but not impressed.
Same goes for the Mach E (Ford) Just feels like garbage quality.
Frankly, all of these new EV’s will not be able to hold a candle to Tesla. Tesla has been in the game a decent amount of time and the others are struggling

EV's are not going to sell as much as ICE's plain & simple.

raw materials are the limiting factor for EV's.

Fueling is a red herring...it's all O&G fueled.

The demand is super high now based on fuel pricing. Tesla just increased pricing, again a couple of weeks ago

Living in SoCal I see alot of EV's. Almost every make and model daily. The Audi seems to be growing in popularity from what I can observe on my drives..

I have no reason or justification for this, but I have a feeling that Teslas are going to be a fad. Just like buying a Prius was a fad until Tesla came out. I see maybe 2 new Prius a month.. maybe.

Once the next greatest new green vehicle comes out, Tesla could fall by the wayside. Just my thought on the matter.
