I think its the air suspension. I only got it two days ago. I probably had it dropped when I took the photo.

Still waiting on my tires to come in, but I hear they clear fine just be sure that the tech doesn’t double stack balancing weights. But I definitely will post photos when they are mounted. I’m having difficulty being patient!

Pulled the spare to see how wide the steel rim is. Sadly it's a 18x7. Doubt anyone is willing to mount a full 35x12.5 on a 7in wide rim. Wanted a full size spare as an option since I'm going 35x12.5. May bite the bullet and purchase a 5th wheel. Or might just go 295/70r18 on the spare alone.. then airdown the 35s if i ever needed to put the spare on.

Funny you posted this as I literally got back an hour ago thinking I was picking up my steel spare rim with another Firestone 275/65-20. As you I wanted a full spare, more that I tow than go off-road. I think a 20 will fit underneath but not sure. If I come across a used 20 rim of any design for a Tundra I may get that.

Thats a good idea. Any cheap rim with a 6x5.5 bolt pattern. Just has to be wide enough to mount tire of choice. A 20" rim would fit as long as you're not going bigger than a 35" tire.. should fit.

Can anyone tell me if 285/60/20's on stock TRD Sport wheels will poke?

Nothing will poke on stock wheels.

Check Westscott Designs. They either have them or are very close. Don't think you'll see any more options and they are very good at what they do. Goof luck

I'm all In for that as well, but I think it will be a long time before they have these non Pro buyers. I'd even run the same Wildpeaks on the Pro too. Good enough for them is good enough for me :)

I swear it looks much lower than the 2.5. Maybe it’s just the weird looking front end

I have the same feeling, feels much lower everytime i drive by an older 2.5 gen. Not sure if its the way they designed the rear bumpers on the 3rd gens, or maybe it's the factory rake on the 3rd gens that just make the rear of the 2nd gens so much taller when approaching.
Lastly, maybe by now every 2nd gen is lifted or on bigger tires so we just feel smaller lol. But spec wise apparently the 3rd gen is taller.

Parked next to a TSS Voodoo Blue yesterday and my truck was bigger. Not by a lot, but bigger and I’m not sure about the technical measurements. I wanted to take a picture but the guy stayed in his truck while the wife shopped. Maybe next time

On Tuesday (that day only because my Fuel Vector +19 rims may not arrive until late tomorrow) I will have a whole "shoe" fitting at Discount Tire. Originally I was going with Cooper AT3 XLTs in 275/70R18 but decided today to ask them to have Cooper AT3 XLTs in 295/70R18s available to test fit them on my SR5 (non-TRD) 4x4. It may turn into a catwalk dressing session. Discount Tire is being super cool about just blocking 2 hours + for the fitting so that I am completely satisfied.

Aside from any potential rubbing on the 295s (which from what I understand may or may not be a factor with the wheel well liner ~ just pin it back), I am curious about the drop in MPG. Anyone have any real-world numbers for me? Understand that I have only had the truck for 340 miles and have barely broke 17.1 MPG driving around town (which is horrible in my mind), especially since I have been "babying" the truck/acceleration, etc. during the break-in.

Any thoughts on the Cooper tire size above or real-world MPG figures with 295s on?

If your worried about mpg, talking about way larger tires doesn’t make a lot of sense , your going to lose quite a bit going with that, no way around it

I would plan on 3-4 mpg loss

Fully aware of that, but I want actual figures. 3 MPG or more may be a little too much but 1-2 MPG loss is fine.

with the weight gain of the wheel and tires your getting expect more like 3-4 would be a good guess

Anybody know if there’s a solution yet to recalibrate the speedometer for a larger tire? I went up to a 275/65/20 and at 80 I’m off 3-4 mph.

Because EPA requirements get more and more stringent, I've learned that manufacturers of vehicles, including motorcycles, have to get creative to comply. From no tow hooks to lightweight plastics, to tires and wheels that are small and simple. They have to cut corners and cut weight everywhere. That means when you add customizations, you're going to get more inefficient right away. Lifts, tires and wheels will be the bulk of the lower MPGs. There are YouTube videos which will show you how much of an MPG loss to expect.

The MPG’s will be relative to each driver/situation but I can confirm ~2.5 mpgs when I went to a 62lb 295/70/18 E tire (Atturo Trailblade XT) on stock wheels

I don’t know how the Coopers will fare but I would plan on some mileage loss.

…if/when you add a lift it may be another 1mpg or so but it’s up to you what to want/trying to go for.

Just got my 17” 8.5 +35 Method 703’s on! I am running 315/70/17 Goodyears that come on Wild trek Broncos. My buddy owns a tire shop and got his bronco this weekend, took the tires off as he’s a Toyo dealer, and I bought these for $800 installed. The TPMS moved over perfectly. And I came home to a buyer who was sitting in my driveway and bought my 20” trd take offs. Not too bad!

They barely rub flexed and once my lift comes in that will be fixed. I am very happy with the bead grip, color, and poke for when I hit the trails!

Thanks for all the help guys.

I was talking about the 17” aspect not the offset,

But , it seems to work so it doesn’t matter I guess
