    As a fella that owns both....2020 S/C'd 1794 & '21 Tesla Model S Plaid

yes...both sides of the carbon bell curve.

    Both have their place.

Tundra does everything I ask & can go 400 miles in a trip. 7 minute fill ups ~$80.00.
It's a utilitarian dream. simple, reliable & spunkified with the 9psi blower.

The Tesla is a monster. but good luck going 300 miles in a trip. 40 minute fillups ~$8.00
There is no rpm range that you do not have 1020hp/1000ft/lb. it's a whole new world. and yet, my wife drives it daily. it's literally an Iphone with 1000hp. A rear tire flat = $600.

I truly do not like how awesome the Tesla is. I'm a motor head. and this thing beats all comers.

I'll have my Tundra till it craps out...2035?

Why is a rear tire flat $600? Is that for a tow truck also? Also it has a 396 mile battery, why can't you atleast go 300 miles?

That car is very pricey but it's like a 4 door supercar.

The whole story is the entire country was sold out of that tire size

so I had to order it from tire rack and ship to discount tire

And all I could source was a perelli

so now we are rolling hooptie on three Michelins and one perelli

so of course I now have to order the Michelin because they are now available

So. All in. $900. For a rear tire

Ill now have a spare tho’

yea. Model s does not have. Spare tire

just use the app and they will come fix you up

but even Tesla did not have this tire

    396 is going to zero

    nobody goes to zero

since you should really charge to only 80%. That drops your range to 310ish

charging to 100% is bad for the battery

    So they say

And yes The tire is now available everywhere. Not so
    Much a couple weeks ago

and everything is critical when the wife’s car is down

Should that not already be calculated into what the consumer sees? I'd figure their programming would allow you, the user, to utilize the battery from a 0-100% while the safety aspect of the under/over charge of the battery we built into the backend.

when you drive an ev. You gauge watch the battery

and when you give it the beans. it will guzzle electrons just like our tundras guzzle gas

Maybe. But I can set the charge rates

right now I have the min charge at 20% and the max at 80%
The 20% accounts for wife factor

Pretty impressive car that I will never be able to afford, or want to anyway, unless I could pay cash. Cool that you get to experience it. An if it was mine I probably wouldn't even make it to 200 miles a charge. Would be into it constantly with an ear to ear grin:D

Oh he knows I have one :burnrubber:

the newer ones coming out can be charged to 100% and it’s encouraged. You can still charge to 100% for road trips or at the track as it’ll drop quickly after running itn5-6 times in a row.
What does ur energy app show on the Tesla? Honestly, unless I’m road tripping it I don’t really care. I drive it hard, because I can and it’s fun. If u baby it, set it in comfort, perfect road and weather conditions you can prob get a good amount of range on it (although many change the wheels and tires so now weight is an additional factor).
I used to pay (before fuel sky rocketed) 50+ a week on just fuel alone. Love a fast, and fun maintenance free vehicle. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a truck, Tesla, bike, quads, and a Vette or something too. Ah, one can dream

Agreed on the ability to charge to 100%
We recently took a trip houston to San Marcos. We set it charge to 100 the night before

it worked great. The new comfort mode was like a ‘77 Cadillac fleetwood

we charged at the factory mall at 500 miles per hour. Tesla technology

    a full tank cost $22. 25 minutes

    passing is astonishingly fast

And, as you know- when in SC, you can either leave it and go eat, drinks, whatever or sit back and play games with it, Netflix, YT, etc. All the ice vehicles that need to fuel up will cost more time than a quick SC

I'm all for EV but for me the charging time is meh as well as charging station availability outside main cities.
Hybrid is a good compromise for now for my uses.
Also working on your own car, I don't know how much can be done on an EV car with those high voltages.

I wake up everyday to a pretty much full tank. I set it to charge in the off peak hours, and have it ready to go (including my preset temp) by the time I ask it to be ready that morning. All of my seats (5) are heated, but the front two you can set to adjust based on ur desired interior temp.

it lowers the suspension as soon as she leaves the driveway as not to scrape

    and closes the garage
