Just got done installing the OEM tailgate lock/unlock kit. Everything is working great, so just buttoning up things. So far the hardest part of the install is reinstalling the passenger door kick panel. Having a hard to engaging the top latch. The bottom one is easy to engage. Without engaging the top latch the kick panel is loose. Any tricks or advice on how to reinstall the kick panel, I’m about to pull my hair out! Please help.

You need to pop out that top one. I usually take a panel tool to both and put them back into the kick panel before I reinstall, which usually works better.

Either of these will usually work. Might not help you today, but you can leave it the way it is and order a kit off Amazon.

You need to pull this clip out it is way to hard to engage that clip in behind the factory ground point. Then you can get it to pop back in by pushing towards the outside. I have a set of plastic panel tools just like @TRDFerguson is talking about.

YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Went down and bought a pry tool to pop it and did exactly what you said to do. Not as tight as I would like but matches the drivers side, but better that being loose. Again THANK YOU guys!
