For my 21 Tundra I have a plastic drop in bed liner but I also added a Rough Country bed mat. Problem is that I need to trim the mat to fit it inside the drop in plastic bed liner. NOT so easy! The mat is almost impossible to cut to fit. Any ideas?

Lose the drop in, sell the RC mat and get a Bedrug!

Agree ditch the drop in plastic liner, only use the mat if you've had spray in bed liner applied, or have bed cover or shell. I have one with zipper sides and front, and removed them, I only use the bed section, works great.

Bed liner fine for me. Had issues with spray in bed liners before. Just asking best what to cut bed mat with, thanks!

Option 1: pack of brand new razor blades in a good razor knife.

Option 2: jigsaw with a fine blade, maybe using silicone spray to lube the cut and blade.

You’ll have to make a jig or a straight edge.

(BTW, I advise just getting rid of the liner and using the mat)

Either way if you don't have your bed sprayed , you're going to get alot of rust fast, unless it's covered. Probably one of the best investments is spray in liner, professionally done.

I have had numerous drop bed liners in other trucks over the years. Always heard about the rust issue but never experienced it myself. Hope this time around there is no exception!

Weather Tech also has an underliner to protect from any scratches for those concerned.

I also vote get rid of the drop-in liner, get a spray liner and use the mat on that.

Sell the mat and go get 4×6 stall mat from a farm supply. Less headache, more useful. Easy to pull out and throw down for camp mat, mechanic work mat, over downed power lines for safe passage, etc. Hell you can even throw it in a horse trailer and haul a horse or two!
