I think yours may be closer to mine than you think. This is the same model as the Special II I bought, and in equally pristine shape. Serial number on mine I thought was 2001, but just checked again and it's a 2013 model. https://reverb.com/item/4619244-epiphone-les-paul-special-ii-gloss-black

Same gloss black. Bridge posts haven't started tilting yet, which I hear can be a problem with the China-made models. Generally speaking though it sounds pretty damn good for $120 piece and sometimes they sell as cheap as the one I just posted.

Those strut tower reinforcements look nice. I feel like I've seen something for these trucks that does more than the top though. Maybe TC

I can't remember who makes the one that's definitely specific for our trucks (if someone actually does), but these require a little bit of minor fabrication to get on any truck. The install instructions on the All-Pro kit have some good pictures. Some of them might be backwards compatible? Using another truck's cam tabs and gussets?

First gen Tundra stock cam tab:
    truck (8).jpg

Second gen Tacoma cam tab - smaller:

    truck (10).jpg

Or DIY your own with a CNC machine. (if someone here does this maybe a few of us would buy?)

Pretty much what Erik said about them. They are not out yet and I've been on their waiting list for a few months. The Marlin Crawler frame brace would help tremendously with reinforcing the frame here - rocks can bash against here like mine and it will start to bend.

    Yep, you found it.

@alb1k Here's some coil tower goodness.

@Sunnier Do you know if Bruce did any reinforcements to the cam tabs on yours? I don't think I see it in pictures.

Nope. We talked about it (they’ve taken some hits), and the alignment guru Hulk sees regularly (think ‘chiropractor’) recommends it, but we haven’t done it. I marked ‘em, front and back, one of the times it was dialed in, plus I get a good ‘chiropractic’ discount for Hulk, so I just go with the flow.

I’m not sure there’s a specific weld on for ours, unless Solo or someone has added since we last looked, so we’d just be mounding up fab’ed metal.

I was pretty sure it was the Sunnier build that got me looking a while back. I’m guessing she went with TC, I think it’s the deal. But that top hat thing on your cover is a plus to me. Yew! Thanks brother.

Their logo is a turtle, they take their time :turtleride:

But yeah, the more people that add their email and show interest, maybe the quicker it'll get to final production.

Hey, @alb1k, you gonna make the trip the last weekend of September to San G to camp with me, Des, Cruzer, and a whole bunch of other favorites you haven’t met yet? :boink:

By September, I plan to make every 1st Gen owner trip and maybe I’ll meet Cruzer to tell him what he should be doing. I have the tent you referenced in my truck so I’m ready to dominate. :anonymous:

Niiiiice! Gotta commit and book now to get a space at San G tho-. It’s that cool, and will probably be booked out by the end of this weekend. Show up and I’ll bring extra of whatever you drink.

Thats an odd one, most have a wrap around bridge but that has a tailpiece and TOM. I haven't seen that ecxact style.

You don't need to make a TW account for it, just do the Reservation.gov thingy and you can post your site in the SoCal BS thread on here.

This is the link. Booking a camp site is the only way to register. Nothing else is required.
Always nice to learn something fun is happening that I haven’t been invited to
Lol, booking a site or getting invited to share someone else’s site qualifies you for free food, maybe a t shirt, vendor swag, raffle tickets… people you’ll enjoy, and cool stories. Some may even be true stories.
Lol! This is funny because you reposted Des instead of me!
Or you could be a squirrel and not post your site, then see who recognizes you by your truck during the walk-arounds. :p

I know conversation had moved on. My connectivity at home is too slow for me to be relevant. Anyway, here’s what my cam tabs look like now. Even if I were to add protection, they’ll still get thrashed. I mean, maybe an aftermarket option will be thicker and wider but, I swear, rocks joust with us.
