What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

This is great

 

Now it sounds like a proper V8

 

Took my truck to the local dealership to have spark plugs replaced and had a complete safety inspection report done. Received a clean bill of health. No leaks and no issues. Then gave it a full detail.

 

Ugh, new headlight showed up and the tab is broken.....



Looks like it won't be so bad waiting for my harness to show up.

 

First oil change at 4500 miles, Fumoto valve, and a bath.

 

2014 --> 2021 radio retrofit

Where did you score the radio? And how much are they fetching?

 

From another member on the forum. I've seen various pricing from $500 & up. But I bet they'll be more common as new aftermarket radios get better.

I also considered waiting for the Apline Halo ilx-f509, but I already had the NTUNE6 which pairs well with the factory radio.

No, only the 3rd Gen Tundras have native wireless CarPlay.

 

There's a dongle for that

 

What harness did you need?

At first I thought they sent me the wrong shocks. Quick test fit of the brackets. Will have them on by Sunday.

 

Took it for a short drive, still breaking in the new slotted/drilled rotors, rims and tires

 

Powder coated wheels, 275/65 20 AT3s on 5100s middle position. I think it looks perfect.

Maybe a slight edge to road bumps over stock tires only because I'm looking for it. Definitely the most comfy truck I've had.

 

The wheels look great. Makes me rethink my plan to powder mine black.

 

Bronze looks good also. Just sayin.....

 

Big changes coming today! Now I just sit and wait.

 

What fender flares are those? They look like they have a nice slim profile.

I may part with the radio that I pulled from my 2020.

 

Put new Land Cruiser heritage wheels on today. I’m happy with the way they turned out. Also got my last free oil change from Toyota today. Waiting on cali raised off-road sliders so I can finally put on my valhallas cat plates on that arrived last month.

Thanks. It’s fox trd pro front and rear with stock size 275/65/18 bfg’s. Nothin crazy just level.

 

Apple Carplay? Compatible with the JBL system?

 

Need to do this. I don't back the truck that far when launching the boat but its good peice of mind
