I debadge every vehicle. This truck I’m on the fence. Of course I’m falling toward take them off, but what are your thoughts? Oh, and the TRD bed stickers.

My badges are black and that’s the only reason they’re on there still. I still have an itch to yank them and the TRD bed stickers though

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Badges? We don’t need no stinking badges!

Taking badges off (as I'm sure you know) is the easy part. Taking that sticker off the bed...is a major PITA. I tried to take it off when I Raptor Liner'd my old Taco. It just disintegrated. I worked it with a heat gun, used adhesive dissolver, took my time, and still turned into a nightmare. I ended up just sanding the damned thing down when I sand-prepped my truck for spraying.

Granted...this was in 2020 and my Tacoma was a 2005 model so it had been on my truck for 15 years at that point. haha.

yeah, that’s not the case on a newer vehicle. Old decals are pretty well baked to the paint. With a little heat I bet these will come off without leaving much if any residue.

i'll be taking one badge off for sure. whoever put this on at the factory or port has a lazy eye, was high or somethin lol. this is the only issue i've had with my platinum so far. luckily i have an extra oem for a 20 trd pro that i can stick on. it's slightly diff from the 22. or i may add the 22 badge back on.

That’s so bad. I’d take it back and have them fix it if I wanted to keep it.

I’m debating on removing my 4x4 badge on tailgate. I like having symmetrical look on rear. But the 4x4 badge throws it off. Plus it already has the 4x4 TRD sport stickers on side of bed.

Something I use in a shop when removing decal for dealership and I’ve seen in other detail shops to remove stickers are adhesive eraser wheel. Just attach to a drill and it’ll rub away the sticker and remove leftover adhesive. Used one to remove pin striping on a buddy 1997 Honda and didn’t damage the paint.

think your truck just convinced me to remove all the badging and order the methods when mine arrives. That looks great.

Be careful with these. An untrained person can quickly eat through the wax and clearcoat with this on a drill.

nice, i've got a platinum in same color so this is a helpful reference. the door badges are lifting anyway and im not taking it back to the dealership for this stuff. my luck, they'd scratch the truck taking off the existing.

yeah, i already spoke to my dealer and they would fix it...i just don't trust they'd do it without scratching. personal preference thing. that debadge look is clean i just wasnt sure what it would look like.
