If the window had been rolled down at the time accident occurred, it likely would have shattered; Luckily, it was up and thus undamaged!

 

As stated above, my component speaker system has been successfully transferred to the donor door...

 

If my truck didn't have tinted windows, I probably wouldn't have made such a big deal about saving the original window...

 

Hang it on the wall of your garage (if you have one)??

 

My parents have a garage; I live with them while I'm saving up to buy a house, and my parents only let me keep viable Tacoma parts. I might keep it at my friend's house for sentimental reasons...

 

Ah I see. That's what I was thinking was the sentimental reason. Maybe when you have your own garage if you can hang on to it for when the day comes.

 

I've got my first custom grille in the garage and I'm having people who have contributed to the customization of my truck sign it!

Look at the bring side, with the gas prices lately, it's a good time to be in that Rav4....

 

I don't think I've gotten more than 20 MPG with the RAV4; On the turnpike, if I chose to drive it on the turnpike, I could probably get close to 30 MPG if did under the speed limit...

 

My rental 2021 Tacoma is allegedly getting 18 MPG running locally.
My Tundra gets 14.

Thanks! I managed 22 MPG on the highway during a 2-hour drive from Carlisle, Pennsylvania to my home in the Philadelphia suburbs; I had the A/C cranked as it was August, and went about 75-80 MPH. This was when gas was still below two bucks a gallon for regular, and that one time I absentmindedly put 89 in my truck instead of 87...

 

Throw the dented door in your bed and drive around like that until you get your own place

 

I actually use my truck to haul stuff, so I think that would get pretty old; Butch let me keep the unused parts from the donor door (including the window), so I'm gonna try and sell that stuff on the TW marketplace!

You mean the flag? That's actually a magnet; I bought a set on Amazon to replace the thin blue line flags, as the one on the right was lost in the accident and the one on the left was starting to fall apart...

On at least two different occasions during the week I had the RAV4, I popped the hood by mistake while looking for the fuel filler door button; Despite this, I never bothered to look under the hood until I topped off the gas tank before returning it to Enterprise earlier today...

 

My truck can go as low as 0W-20 (I currently run Mobil One 10W-30 Full Synthetic High Mileage Formula), but this seems like it would make Bud Light look like a high end German lager by comparison!

 

I never thought I'd see R134a get phased out!

 

It looks like Tony Montana sneezed in my truck, but that white stuff is not what you think it is! It's just corn starch...

An old friend of mine who has owned several Rolls-Royces told me of this truck he uses to get odors out of carpet and upholstery; Store-bought corn starch can remove odors and leaves your interior smelling like fabric softener!

I figured if it works on a Rolls-Royce then why not Tacoma? It's been probably close to five years since I used this technique on the truck, but after spending several days in a body shop with no passenger window, the interior smelled like paint and other chemicals. The smell would dissipate as I drove, but it would come back if the truck was parked for any length of time. The trick is to dump corn starch on the carpet and seats, and leave it overnight; These are the pictures from last night...
