Are you still planning your Oregon trip? If you hit up Metal Tech let me know. You’ll go right passed me. Or Iron Man…they are about two miles away.

I’ll have to call and talk to Chris tomorrow. I have been super busy this week. Thanks for the heads up!

Man my CL skills are lacking! I missed those too. I am usually on point. Seems like I need to throw my phone in the garbage.
That is a bit more then I want to spend on a temporary solution…however, I won’t know for sure till probably next week.

Any chance you need a set of 4R rims/tires/tpms? I am trying to sell a set too. Or some gym equipment?

Ok here me out….some kind of clear coating on those beasts. Those welds look too good to cover up with flat black.

Also I’m eyeing their front bumper. You know, in case I win the lottery and could justify it.

Yeah, I’ll be down in about a month. Still figuring out the details. Will definitely reach out when things are known.

Well I called them and told them I’m driving down etc and said we’ve had work done on the old man’s truck and 4runner there so they were cool enough to get me in sooner. The contact texts me all the time now and he’s got a built Tacoma lol. Great group over there, top notch service

Sliders are done! Off to powder coat. If I was building something else these would get clear coated only. They look amazing.https://vimeo.com/691941274

Ok today on the long lunch break install. Bed stiffeners and tire back in the bed with new alpine straps

    Nice. Looks good!

What is the criteria for the bed stiffeners…carrying lots of weight or planning for rally speeds?

And is the need for these so the bed and tailgate don’t get unhappy together? Or?

It helps a lot even in normal use. The bedsides don’t have many attachment points that are strong/ridged. If you go open the tailgate and walk to the fender then pull the bed rail (pull back and forth) you’ll notice a fair amount of play and movement. Even in light off-roading I’d recommend them let alone in a faster pace or loaded.

Wish the old lady liked the 4runner, she liked the creature comforts on the Grand Cherokee better. Looks like a nice day out there!

It looks good though, my sister in-law has a '15 with 100k miles on it. Been surprisingly trouble free for a FCA product.

I always try to park by other Toyotas especially newer ones the have a small probability of having car seats in them. Less chance for door dings. Not that my truck is perfect but don’t want anymore than I already have! The wife thinks I look for close parking spots. I am really just taking a lap to figure out where to park. :D

I like that setup. May have to look into something to get a spare in my bed too. Mine would have to be mounted further up.

    I’m pretty sure it’s a requirement.

My SIL also had a grand Cherokee. Now she has the grand wagoner I think it is.

So I have spent more time in the 4R the last few weeks. That IM rides pretty good. Purposely hit some sunken grades on the highway to see how it handled and it was smooth. I was planning on IM with my truck then some other options came up. I have to try and figure this out soon.

IM or some sort of Kings setup. :notsure:

Can you shim the rear so it angles out? Or is that a no go?

Doing great, love how it handles. I could use a little more lift up front though to even out the rake.
