Handling was actually better, not sure if that is normal or not. I lost about 2.5MPG on city and highway and I did the math about 3 times. So I think that is very accurate. The Ride quality - I do not appreciate a difference really. I run that at 50 PSI. If I could do it again, I probably would try to find a P-rated tire that looked as good or consider the 285-65-20. But every time I look at the tires on the truck I am like "damn that set up looks great"

No there’s a 15 1/2yr old in Reno NV who is still freaking out at his first car. My baby became his first car. Haha

I know! Parents showed up with 40k cash and the kid was shaking my hand like crazy promising to take good care of her! They seemed like a pretty cool family. I guess he will be paying them back they said.

Do you off road? I lead an Overland Bound group the second Sunday of the month in a Pleasanton CA. We usually have about 60-70 people come and do a lot of hands on learning about gear, winching etc. Next month we are headed up to the Lost Coast

I have been wiring up a water proof box to run a switch box in the bed to power camp lights, fridge, tent lights, and my compressor. Eventually I’ll do a full write up but I made the cut in the bed tonight. Little scary but it turned out well.

    First cuts

Backside of the waterproof boxes, open is the negative buss bar:monocle:

How the switch box looks and the air chuck next to it. I decided not to center the air chuck because you can see the crease next to it that has a support rib on the backside of it. :transformer:

Took her on a little road trip down to Portland to test out the new tires today. Really impressed with mpg. Was avg 20-21 mpg on the hwy with stock tires from seattle to Portland. After full 35s.. its avg more like 19 mpg even with a hour of traffic in between. No complaints on my end.

    Two good looking beauties.

Down to Portland is pretty flat for the most part. 17.8mpg is actually pretty dang good in the mountains. I'll take that any day.

I’m in the east bay about 40 minutes away from SF

I’ve done the drive to Seattle and a Portland many times. Gets boring south of Redding CA!

Well I finished most of my electrical additions in the bed. Switch box is wired up, loom to the battery is snaked and in, circuit breakers are in, and I mounted the ARB compressor in the bed. Flipped that switch and bam I’ve got air. Really glad it all worked.

Before I electrified the system I placed everything and ended up driving to Yosemite yesterday and back, 6 hours round trip and nothing melted. I didn’t want juice flowing till it was proven.

Wire loom crossing the engine bay

Two marine circuit breakers, 25A for the switch box powering fridge/lights/etc and a 90A powering the twin compressor. The breakers are nice because if you have to work on anything you press the yellow button to open the circuit and everything is powered down

To access the void between the fender and truck bed wall I had to remove the outer fender flare and the wheel well faring. There’s so much room in there and I could easily access the backside of the wiring harness to the compressor and the bulkhead for the braided compressor hoseB56668F9-F3BF-42D2-A14F-B1FA382781D6.jpg

I mounted the compressor up front and within easy reach of the rear is the switch panel and compressor chuck and switch

Compressor is mounted using large flange rivnuts and a mount by QuickDraw which allows flexible mounting options and includes rubber dampeners.
