So Toyota gave him a 7 year bumper to bumper warranty due to the turbo problem.

Sounds like it. And he straight up says he would not recommend buying without an extended warranty. I'm sure they will get the bugs out, first year is always tough. That's why I bought a 2015 Tacoma instead of a 2016. Well that and I didn't want a minivan motor in my truck.

    Good for Toyota.
Anyway - I am willing to bet that at least 7 out of 10 readers of this thread, won't be keeping their new 2022 truck F150 or Tundra past the 3yr basic bumper to bumper warranty. Especially with the changes coming to trucks over the next 3 years.

I tend to keep vehicles about 5-7 years, but I'm only 36 so that trend may change.

Initially ordered limited, but couldn't stand the wait and got an 18 Raptor.. fully loaded, very happy about the purchase.

That's awesome, what color? My neighbor is a Ford dealer and is trying to sell me a loaded '19 Raptor. But I think I am going to hold out for my Tremor.

I'd 100% get the tremor over prior gen raptor. Gen 14 is a different level of outfit.

Yeah, I get flamed for this on the Ford forum but I'm also not a huge fan of the look of the Raptor. It's just a little, ....much. I don't want to draw that much attention. I'll remove most of the badging when the Tremor comes too, hard to hide a Raptor though.

Yeah I didn't want to say it, seems like they should come standard with a pair of white Oakleys though.

My sons friend has a Raptor with the big engine. He came up to the cabin couple summers ago.
When I came up to join them I noticed some fresh branch pruning had occurred on our private road in a couple sections.
I know my Tundra is wide and high and was getting close, but pretty sure his was scrapping. 8^0
    That is one wide truck.

Yup. Don't get me wrong I love the raptors but the new gen interiors are too sweet to go prior gen.

Does anyone know if the F150 is shorter than the new Tundra? My 2019 just fits in the garage with about 18" to spare and I understand the 2022 is 4-5" longer.

    @Bannerman

was speaking to a Ford dealer in Southwestern Ontario and the Sales Manager told me last 3 Fresh Tremor orders took 8 weeks order to delivery.
Some guys who ordered prior - in some cases have been waiting 4-6 months. Still waiting - very strange.

It is, but I don't really want to lose another 4-5 inches. It makes it difficult to walk around.

no way around that then if your going tundra to tundra, they made it longer for sure.

I can stuff it in my garage, just barely, so it can work for me, I dont walk around that last section of garage anyways.

but damn, I need to see things (GC) improve first. Im waiting for now. If I have to wait long enough, Ill test the GMC 6.2 refresh too

Be aware of any of them with what features they are removing due to the chip shortage. Some features are gone and that's it, others they claim they will add back later at the dealer.

ya, Im aware and will totally take that into consideration. from what I am reading here and there I think the 6.2 lifter issue if finally behind them but I have to look at that just like Im looking at the tundra turbo BS

I think the ZR2 or AT4 are bad ass but the lifter issue is not behind them. I read they corrected it in May 21 but there’s been several failures with build dates far after that

They just touted the new Silverado as the “most advanced Silverado ever”. That’s reason enough for me to stay away, lol

GM has arguably been having more computer issues than anyone else lately. I was on that forum a lot recently when I was truck shopping. Lots and lots of weird glitchy issues. I read “most advanced” as “most complicated”. Not a selling point at all to me.

But then again, I bought a dinosaur.
