As the title says, it has 30k miles on it. At idle it has the ticking sound of a lifter not pumped all the way up. My hearing isn’t that great (35 years aircraft maintenance) but I can hear it plain as day. Plan on contacting my servicing dealership. Oil has couple hundred miles on the latest change. But it was doing it before this latest change as well. Just did it sporadically. Now it seems pretty constant. Oil level is showing full, so no issue there. Oil pressure shows normal on the gauge.
I wanted to post here to see what has been the standard dealership response to such issues, and to see if anyone else has any experience with it.

Definitely a good idea to get it documented; however, these are noisy engines. I was shocked coming from a Subaru, if that's any indicator. I'm trying 5w30 on the next oil change for this summer to see if I can quiet down the diesel sound, but I'm not hearing the type of sound you are.

My 2020 makes some ticking noises when cold, usually gets pretty quiet when warm. About 21k miles using Kirkland 0W-20 oil for reference.

I've brought up this issue before and they said it's all normal, with long tube headers it get even louder in the cold, I can still hear it over the supercharger as well, I'm going switch to 5w-30 for spring to fall and 0w-20 for winter.

What grade of fuel are you using? Could be low octane causing spark knock. Sounds similar to a valve tick

87 octane, that is recommended. Always use the same shell gas station close by. I had a 2014 that was very quiet in comparison.

I had a light intermittent knocking, valve train ended up getting rebuilt under warranty (90k).

    Too many, but not enough....
5w-30 will quiet it down noticeably.

My 16 has a noticeable tick on 87. I switched to E85, since it’s 110 octane, now it’s nice and quiet.
