It definitely makes the truck feel taller, beefier, and I’m pretty sure adds at least 20 more HP…

Oh yea! She'll earn her respects offroad too when I'm done with her Plan is to hit Moab this summer and take in all the sights. Not like giant rock gardens, but more scenic trails in Moab.

 

Sounds awesome. I’ve been to Baja, Death Valley, Mojave, all over the west coast and Whistler but never Moab yet! Someday

Handling was actually better, not sure if that is normal or not. I lost about 2.5MPG on city and highway and I did the math about 3 times. So I think that is very accurate. The Ride quality - I do not appreciate a difference really. I run that at 50 PSI. If I could do it again, I probably would try to find a P-rated tire that looked as good or consider the 285-65-20. But every time I look at the tires on the truck I am like "damn that set up looks great"

No there’s a 15 1/2yr old in Reno NV who is still freaking out at his first car. My baby became his first car. Haha

I know! Parents showed up with 40k cash and the kid was shaking my hand like crazy promising to take good care of her! They seemed like a pretty cool family. I guess he will be paying them back they said.

Do you off road? I lead an Overland Bound group the second Sunday of the month in a Pleasanton CA. We usually have about 60-70 people come and do a lot of hands on learning about gear, winching etc. Next month we are headed up to the Lost Coast

 

I’ve done some rough camping, but not over landing per se. some rocks in rutted fire roads during bow hunting season is about the toughest roads I’ve seen. My Tundra is a 4x2, so I’m not super confident I can follow where you guys go, but I probably could in my 4Runner. Sounds like some fun, i’d be interested in coming down for an event to meet everyone.

I have been wiring up a water proof box to run a switch box in the bed to power camp lights, fridge, tent lights, and my compressor. Eventually I’ll do a full write up but I made the cut in the bed tonight. Little scary but it turned out well.
