Don't know if this video has been posted. TFL trying a 7klb 25' travel trailer in Utah. Pretty good IMO with stock suspension. If I was towing that load I'd beef up the rear suspension a bit with Toytec rear coils, or simply Timbrens or Sumos or Firestone airbags (when they get on the aftermarket).
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HibzvGxFhsc
BTW, this couple did a lot wrong. When the trailer begins to twitch a lot you manually engage the trailer brakes. Don't touch the tow vehicle brakes only hit the trailer brake manually to get the trailer back in line with the tow vehicle.

That was my first thought when I saw the first video. It was an issue assembling that part of the truck. That’s a shitty experience man. Inexperienced techs or something at the manufacturing plant.

So I have my name on a 2022 Tundra 1794 4WD, Magnetic Grey Metallic. Been confused on a few things. Build date was first week of March, and delivery date was supposed to be late March. It's late March and now dealer says Scheduled ship date of April 1. I do have the VIN instead of the pre-build VIN....but when I look up the VIN it has a different build date as mid December 2021 and "presold". My dealer stated it was never built in December and was bumped until the early March build date. I have called the VPC in Houston a few times and they are helpful but is there any way of looking up the VIN yourself to check the location and status of the vehicle and where its at in the process? I don't want to feel the smoke in my mouth if I'm just letting it fill my A_s by someone that has me on the hook.

While Toyota needs to know about this, it would be a good idea for everyone who owns a new Tundra to CHECK THEIR NUTS to avoid this type of situation. It would take 5min with a torque wrench

Picked up my new Tundra Saturday. Should be getting new tires next week and tint. Also looking to do a leveling kit on it.

Man those TRD Sports look good! How much lower do they sit than a standard Tundra? And how much rougher do they ride?

Smooth ride doesn’t feel like your driving a truck. The front sits .5 in lower then a TRD off-road I believe.

Oh I thought Sports had "sportier" suspension which to me means stiffer. Good to know! Best looking trim level with all the color matched stuff

Funny, it doesn't seem like it was that long ago that people would pay to have the back higher just like that one (or more)! ;)

Where exactly are the axle nuts he's referring to? That video is pretty scary and I really feel bad for the guy. If anyone knows specifically what nuts should be tighten and where visually that would be appreciated. Does it require removing the wheels? or are these nuts accessible without disassembly of anything? This has me spooked and I'll take the time and tighten them down just in case. I personally have had my truck for less than month, but I did get a EPB (Electric Parking Brake) warning message the other day when I parked. After I restarted the truck the message went away and hasn't showed up since.. most likely unrelated but still spooky

It's because GA is part of the Southeast Toyota (SET) distributor area. There are 2 private Toyota distributors in the US (the other being Gulf States Toyota - GST) that have the right to distribute Toyotas in 10 states, AL FL GA NC SC AR LA MS OK TX. Those distributors can choose what packages and options they want to offer and they usually choose a very small set of the available Toyota package/options. Why they do this I have no freaking idea. All other states except HI get their vehicles directly from Toyota Motor Sales USA and therefore you can usually get all available Toyota packages/options.

For example, I live in very southwest MO. If you input my zipcode in the Toyota website vehicle builder, there are very few packages to choose from. The reason for this is the nearest Toyota dealership is in northwest AR (which is part of GST). If you change to a zip closer to Springfield, MO then all of a sudden there are numerous packages to choose from because MO is not one of the states covered by the 2 private distributors.

TL/DR; if you buy a Toyota in one of the 10 states covered by either of the 2 private Toyota distributors, you get whatever packages they feel like offering and that's it. If you want something other than what they offer, you need to go to a dealership outside of those 10 states.

Video starts showing drivers side of rear axle, you can see 4 bolts in the wheel hub, when he pans over to passenger side those bolts are missing.

what you pointed out makes perfect sense, after watching it back again.. i can clearly see it completed unbolted from the assembly. Thanks for pointing that out! Just took a look at mine and took a picture, they are snug and all accounted for. Also marked and/or loctite'ed from the factory.. but yea his is clearly missing the nuts in the video and not attached anymore.. crazy.

I would say that some dbag taking off bolts has a much higher chance of being what happened over missing from factory. Highly doubt wheel would have lasted through a test drive, let alone 3k miles.

Thought I’d share a 1794 with the painted surround. The poster bought the spare grille pieces to paint from scratch instead of painting over the chrome.

this is how it should have came from the factory

the surround should be color match on every truck, just say no to the hodge podge toyota

better yet, if that piece going across with tundra and the foglights were color matched it would look even better, like they had on the platinum pre-production trucks

Possible but I'd think a dbag would loosen up lug nuts or something easier than axle bolts. Then again, 3k miles for those to loosen up surely would have told the driver there was something wrong way before them completely falling off, like gear oil on the ground or loud clunking when going around turns.

I’m actually not a fan of the center painted. Just the surround and then all black in the center

Well my 1794 that was built was sent to the VPC where it had accessories installed and now had a mechanical failure. No telling what happened. Wastegate, waiting on chip….dang it. Dealer still says delivery 4/1. We shall see. Anyone else having this issue?

My Platinum has a build date of Feb 15 coming to Canada April 14-24. Others on this site have had later build dates and are already driving them. Any idea as to why Canadian orders take so long?
    Any info would be appreciated.
