While driving in the sun today, edge of hood up by drivers side windshield caught my eye. When I got home I had a look. Looks like a gouge came out along the edge of my hood here and either dealer or factory just tried to touch it up with a pen. It’s missing the factory paint over about a 2 inch section and it’s a tad mangled. Looks to be the hood was open and the wipers engaged.

    tight tolerances.

not sure what the dealer will be able to do. Literally just my luck. Lol.certainly wasn’t my fault. Hoping the dealer sees it the same way.

It was a member on the Facebook owners page who suggested it was wiper blade contact.

he nailed it. Here’s a picture of the wiper with the missing paint.
They obviously tried to touch it up with a pen before delivery. Not thrilled.

Most any car where it’s possible to leave the wipers up will do that. Certain amount of common sense used to be involved in operating a motor vehicle.

Sure. Tell that to the dealership. Cause it certainly wasn’t my user error.
