I took my truck into the shop the other day to have them diagnose a loud drone noise coming from my right wheel well. Ended up being the brake backing plate just slightly bent and contacting the rotor, bent it back good as new. He said that when he was turning he noticed the loud clunk, and found out my outer tie rods are hitting the coil of my new Fox 2.5 C/O. He said that its not going to hurt anything to leave it the way it is and with my further research this seems to be a design flaw from Fox that they have yet to fix. Does anyone have a solution on how to fix this? are there tie rods with a slight curve in them that will keep them from making contact? It's not a safety issues and my alignment is perfect I just don't like when my truck makes noises if I can fix it. Thanks guys.

You need to install a set of King's and send the junk Fox c/o's to me immediately. Problem solved!

The bottom coilover mount has 2 spacers, long and short one, make sure the longer spacer is on the front side. Reducing caster some will pull the coilover away from the tie rod a tiny amount and might help.

Yeah I texted the advisor at the shop that did the install and he said unfortunately with my kit it does it no matter what, and that they tried to get it as far as possible without messing anything else up. From his experience, it does it with every tundra he's ever had come in and get the 4.5" C/O kit. It's nothing major, just an annoyance to me so I may just leave it alone. Or take a quick grinder to the coil and shave off a hair.
