You'll never be able to order one. Not unless Toyota reverses course and start taking orders from customers, like the big 3. Unlikely.

    This is your "ordering" process:
    1. Go to dealer of choice.
    2. Plop down some dealer-defined, arbitrary amount of cash for a "deposit".
    3. Explain to your salesperson what color & options you want and also what you'll settle for.
    4. Sit for a few months while you wait for your exact color/option combo to arrive or settle for something "close enough" so you can take delivery a month or two earlier.
Welcome to your "ordering" experience as a Toyota customer. Enjoy!

Sad but true. Thankfully, because you want a TRD Pro, then step #3 is pretty simple. I believe your only "option" is tow mirrors and picking your color.

sorry yes meant “build”. It won’t let you build a trd pro or capstone on website

I'm pretty sure that's because there isn't anything to "build" with the TRD Pro. There's literally no options except to add tow mirrors (at no charge) and pick your color. Cab, bed length, engine, etc...are all standard across all TRD Pro trucks. I can go in and "build" a TRD Pro but all I can do is select tow mirrors and a color.

I don't follow the luxury trucks as much so I'm entirely sure on the Capstone...but I would imagine it's pretty similar.

For whatever reason, the configurator for hybrid models isn't even up for any South East Toyota dealers.

One word of advice: Ask each of your local dealerships if they know their projected allocations of the TRD Pro and how many deposits they've already taken on the Pro. They may not know their # of allocations yet (though I feel like some people have said they do) but it's helpful to know. More allocations means more trucks slated to that specific dealership and thus a better chance of getting the color you want. The # of deposits will, basically, tell you how many folks are in front of you.

I’ll have to go in and see it for myself as last time I checked I couldn’t see any color of how the trd pro looked as it wouldn’t let me get to it.

Have not really paid attention to the Pro, but how does a hybrid get worse mpg than a fixed gasser?

Ya when I click “build your vehicle” the option to continue for a trd pro goes away and it only allows you to build up to a 1794. Anyone else have this issue?

Allocations allow for orders. You indeed can order a Pro, as that is what I did in 2020. If the dealer has allocations they can use them to place orders. You then deposit your reservation/commitment and wait. The truck arrived and I ultimately decided against purchase because Lunar Rock wasn't my thing after all. None the less, I went through it, took about 12 weeks start to finish. Hardest part was finding a dealer with unused allocations. Mine ended up getting ordered 4hrs from where I live.

Order sheet from the 21 Pro order:

I'd upload the reciept for the order as well, but after I blank out all the personal info, it wouldn't say a whole lot.

Toyota has always stated that the hybrid wasn't mean for better mpg, just more power. Add in worse aerodynamics due to the lift and tires and there ya go.
