Mounted the lights. Tight fit with the one by the tranny cooler. Also closed up the gaps a little more at the headlight panels.

Brings up an item I should ask about. I have it in mind to mount lights behind my grille using something like the Cali Raised mounting kit. Also have it in mind to put in a trans cooler. The light bar I want to mount will be higher in the space than your lights - there's a slot on either side of the Platinum cheese grater grill that I want the lights to peek through - but from your comment it looks like it may not work out. Also, I've wondered if, to accommodate my lighting, the cooler couldn't be located a little lower. What's your take on any of that?

edit: should also add. the new grill looks great.

Finished shackle install today. No more crazy nose high. Took two separate days of attempts to push out factory leaf spring bushings. If I had to do over I would skip attempts with ball joint press and proto puller and just drill rubber out and sawzall sleeve right away but those tools were at work first day. Wasted countless hours over two weekend days. Pro form 1 1/2” shackle to raise the rear with coach builder bushing kit. Still deciding on leaf pack and shock options for rear. Shackle is temporary. Fox 2.5 coilovers got tested on some desert New Mexico roads on the way to mountain bike ride after install. Got 3 5/8” lift from fox after a settling run last weekend (over 4” at first). Ride pretty good out of the box on the rough road at speed. Comfy on the street too. Wheels look great. What are you doing about the center caps? I picked up a set of cherry 20" take offs from a member on here that I plan to have powdered satin black but I haven't decide what I'm going to do about the centers yet. I'm thinking of buying a single black Sequoia center to see if it will fit the 20" Tundra wheels. They look very similar so I'm hoping it will work.

I think they will match well but haven't seen them in the daylight yet. Powder manufacturer says their color is a good match for MGM.

Be sure to post up some pictures of the finished product once everything is all mounted up. I'll be looking forward to it.

Very frustrating day yesterday with @Toytec Lifts … thought I’d be receiving my SPC UCA and my Spidertrax 1.25” spacers… and for some reason I received cam bolts and a uniball replacement instead.

Yes I’ve already contacted them and emailed them. Waiting for normal business hours to call them and confirm. I’m hoping they can expedite the shipping to me this week… sigh.

Even in the fine print it says that “In an effort to ensure accuracy and completeness, your order has been inspected by THREE of our representatives”.

Well that doesn’t seem to be the case here cause I don’t have what I needed. :annoyed:

Did you just extend the wires yourself or buy a kit that extended the wires for you? I’m considering doing this, but the platinum doesn’t have that cutout as shown in other models.

FYI, try Serra Toyota of Decatur. SE US Toyota dealerships have 25% off most parts, and use FREESHIP for free shipping up to $200. I got my Pro headlights just days ago, spent a total of $436!!! $218 each, no shipping charges, and it’s coming from AL all the way to me in Seattle

Hell yeah. Bought my 17 in June 2020 with 14k miles, right now I’m about to hit 70k! Been to Boston and back to Seattle, Chicago and back, LA and back, Salt Lake and back too many times, and much more. First truck owned, no clue why I waited so long. In fact, I’m heading into the Cascades this morning just cuz I’m bored and the fam is in Phoenix. Hmmmm, I wonder if they need a ride home….

I gotta know what that place’s parts department is thinking with a week’s orders for Tundras that probably don’t add up to what they see in a year

Found someone else share this while searching for a different mod. Hi-Lift off-road base fits the stock jack with minor shaving of the plastic. Adds a few extra inches in height and a more solid footprint.

Added Seat Jackers to the driver's side. Feels better, but need to take a long drive to really assess.

Added a tactical molle bag for use as a large bottle bag, or more likely, trash. Easy mod thanks to @EatSleepTacos

Installed some Tyger fender flares (just the passenger side). The drivers side will have to wait until next weekend. I installed the flares, then masked around it with 1/4" 3M tape leaving about an 1/8" gap between the flare and the tape. Removed the flare and then installed some XPEL 3/4" door edge guard up to the tape edge, then removed the tape and reinstalled the flares. This should eliminate any scratches from the flares rubbing against the body. If you look real close in the 3rd picture you can see the XPEL right below the tape line.
