Front Bumper Chop

I've been planning (slowly) my '21 DC 4x4 build and can't seem to find an aftermarket bumper I like and have settled on either SDHQ or Warn Hidden Winch bumpers. Well maybe not 100% settled, YET !!! I'm trying to keep it a little classy and like the light inserts.
That brings me to the Bumper End Caps. As we all know are ugly and bulky and I today while removing the front mudflap I decided to explore around. I measured those suckers to be 16 ga. sheet metal and begging to be chopped and reinforced a bit. I'm taking some moto stuff to be stripped of chrome and will throw these in to be later powdercoated matte black.
Anybody here done this ? I'm really liking the new lines I drew and may have a plan to reinforce the back side bracket or maybe eliminate it completely.

Viper cut?

 

Yup I did it on my '12 Tacoma and love the way it blended into my prerunner bumper. On this truck I'm looking for less offroad looking and more integrated into the front end of the truck yet strong enough to pull a tooth out of my ex's big mouth.
