Westcott is a spacer lift essentially, not much better fyi.

I know Icon is working on a kit, but it will be a while. Dobinsons offroad is working on a kit currently as is Carbon shocks with the crew at Adventure Motors KC

I just spoke to Parts department at a local Toyota and asked them about the TRD PRO lift suspension for these new Tundra's. He confirmed that they will be able to start ordering in March per his parts system. NO definite price yet but is stating in the 3-4k range since it is a full suspension lift.

Install not included so probably $5,500 - $6,000 installed

Labor seems a bit high, it should be 5 hours of work. I guess if the warranty only applies to dealership installation, then you got no choice. But if you don't care about warranty, plenty of independent shops can do it better and cheaper

I was told they outsource the installation anyway. They use 3 different companies. 4WP being one of them.

Don't know, but if I had a 2022 I would have the dealer install the kit and be comfortable.

If you can add the lift as an accessory before delivery of the truck wouldn’t the install be included with the sale of the truck? I added the TRD skid plate, steps and Toyota tonneau cover with no install cost added and I don’t expect to get a separate bill after I take possession am I wrong?

Yes. Even if you have the dealer do it, they usually do labor for free when added to the sale.

Not enough lift for that price but I get why people would do it.

I expected to see spacers, that's actually really awesome. I'd buy that without thinking about it.

That's not how it works. Inches of lift is not associated with cost. Ride quality, performance, capability and durability is. You can buy suspension parts that give zero inches of lift that kick the pants off a 6 inch lift kit.

    Mkay.

The price of a 2-3" kit is the same as a 10-12" BDS kit. Cool.

I can buy a pair of custom fit Brooks running shoes for $150-250 but a pair of $80-100 New Balance will do me just fine if I jog around the block a couple times a week. It doesn't take $5k worth of parts slapped on by Toyota techs (probably helpers) to ensure ride quality, performance, capability and durability.

You're missing the point. The cost is actually reasonable for the high quality of parts offered.

Why would anyone put a 10-12" mall crawl lift on their vehicle unless they intend to never tow or go offroad(beyond flat dirt roads lol) is beyond me. OEM isn't going to sell lift kits for walmart puddle driving bro.

    Didn't miss anything.

Pretty sure most people with a TRD Pro don't push that suspension upgrade to its full potential on a regular basis.

I don't need Brooks shoes to jog around my block a couple times a week.

Your interpretation of what's reasonable is completely subjective. I'm offering a different rationale in a thread posted to discuss the pricing and just because it isn't aligned to yours and/or the popular majority doesn't make it less applicable.

Literally nothing you said makes any sense. Who cares about BDS. They make shitty bracket lifts. They have never been about quality nor performance.

Your analogy is a little far reaching but I'll play along. You live in Conroe, flat land of hell with literally no scenery worth off roading within 8 hours. So I suppose a high quality lift like Bilstein, fox, king, icon etc is overkill for you. I grew up in Houston so I'm aware that every truck out there has a 6" lift, I guess you gotta keep up with the rest of the yahoos out there. This kit is developed for those who want oem performance, quality and durability. If all you want is the look then there are cheaper alternatives and just move on. This kit isn't for you.

So what if techs install the TRD lift kit. Guess who did the R&D on those parts? The engineers from Bilstein, Toyota and Rousch. That's why it costs what it does.

Your response is childish and petty. Clearly lacking any sign of intellect or maturity.

You're upset I don't agree with your affirmation to throw thousands at a Toyota lift kit. You probably get mad at everyone who disagrees with anything else you deem to be factual. Good way to get through life.

And yet everything I said is true. BDS makes shitty bracket lifts. Conroe is flat. Houston is hot as hell, especially in summer. Most trucks in Houston have some absurd 6" lift. There are many yahoos in Houston. The TRD kit is expensive because it's a highly engineered piece of equipment.

Tell me where I'm wrong :D

Pointless to talk to people who bash others who voice their opposition to OPINIONS.

Typical indicator of the society we live in these days.

Are you trying to say that your BDS mall crawl lift is comparable to the quality of this OEM kit? Is that your "opinion"?

No matter what options, you still need calibration on the bs Toyota safety sense, if not everything go heywire.
