Widening the Stance of the TRD Pro

2020 Pro running Toyo AT3 295/70/18’s on stock TRD Pro wheels and I’m very interested in widening her stance. I have no interest in buying new wheels to do so. She sits flush currently but would love to see some wheel poke, nothing extreme. What size wheel spacers should I consider? Pics of anyone with TRD Pro wheels utilizing spacers would be great!

 

1 to 1.5 are available. Dont cheap out if using spacers, get a good and trusted brand. Spacers may have you rubbing body mount or other areas however.

 

1.25 inch spidertrax here. Love them, puts the oe wheel flush with the body

 

Does this have any benefit other than looks? Do you guys who run mild spacers notice less lean while turning or anything like that? Do you keep the same tight turn radius?

Asking because I’ve been offered a set of spidertrax for free; just curious what benefits there might be aside from the look.

Less likely to rub the front sway bar, my turning radius has been the same, I had to get the spacers so the tires would stop rubbing new shocks reservoirs.

This is Bora's 1.25, tires are 285/75s

 

That pic is better than mine would be with 275 tires. When you park next to another tundra after your spacers, you wont regret it. The tucked in look of the stock wheels is lame after you see the difference

 

I hear you, but anything to do with tires and wheels needs to have an increase in performance for me to justify it.

Which shock reservoirs are you talking about? My 285/75s on BBS wheels don't rub on my TRD Fox.

 

Having it look better justifies it enough for me. You aren’t widening it enough to feel more stable for example

 

Fox 2.5 DSC, they graze the front reservoirs at full lock.

 

No experience with spacers on a Tundra, but on other cars the wider stance sharpens turn in and steering response.

I personally wouldn't go more than 1" in the interest of preserving and protecting the hubs and bearings.

 

I’m running 1.25 Spidertrax with 305/70r18 on stock wheels. The tires stick out a bit but not to much.

 

I want to add 1” Bora spacers but just hesitant because of the “wheel spacer horror stories”. It does look really good though.

 

I've run spacers for years and zero issues. Widest I went was 1.5". Can tell you to buy name brand good stuff tho (Spider or Bora). The cheap ones are ok if used for a short time but the studs are cheap and threads eventually turn to poop.

Most places in my area if there truck comes in with spacers they will not mess with there truck. I was looking at that route but chose to get more aggressive off set wheel since I prefer aftermarket wheel over the Pro wheel. Good luck on your search Lee!!

 

Tried to get it straight down the truck to see tha back tires as well.

 

I debated it, but decided to stick with stock TRD wheel.

After viewing many pics on Motorsport's Facebook page, I went with BORA 1.5 wheel spacers. I should have them in 2 weeks. Pics will be coming.

 

What running boards/sliders do you have on your truck? I like the look but can't tell from the pic.

 

It's factory accessories from Toyota Canada, I forgot the part # but apparently it's not available in the USA, it's made out of alloy and decently durable, I've hit rocks many times with them and have survive ok so far.

 

Just got the BORA 1.5 spacers mounted and torqued. I’m liking the look, BUT I’m having some tire rub issues at hard turns. Has anyone else experienced this and what was done to fix issue?
