What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Depending on what you're trying to order, that may still be a bargain.

 

Maybe you can split up your purchase?some have mentioned doing that. I suppose it depends on what you’re ordering.

 

That makes sense. Glad to hear that you like the way it looks. I know some guys use the top setting to give the most lift in the front without doing anything in the rear but from the pics I've seen, that makes it look like the nose is riding high. If anything, I'd rather have the front a little lower. the factory rake is a bit much though. Did you shim up the driver side? I've read that there is a factory lean on these trucks. I haven't measured mine yet to confirm but I'm not crazy on the idea of shimming one side.

 

Looks awesome! You do need a gold pheonix on the hood though to complete out the bitcheness!!!

 

A giant ThunderChicken would complete the look.

 

Maybe even replacing the 4x4 bed decals with one! I'm telling you, it would be sweeeeeet!

Don't know where Andy got it from but I've seen them on Ebay, Amazon & Etsy.

 

Drove it in the rain, now it's dirty again.

 

I installed some VLED license plate lightbulbs today and I was less than impressed. Output was somehow worse than stock, so I’m returning them and ordered some morimoto XB full replacement lights.

The pic may as well be useless because it’s pretty deceptive. Newer iPhones are just really good at low light photos so hopefully the intensity of the tail lights gives some relativity.

 

The problem with that specific Vleds bulb is with the leds being around the sides. There is no light projection towards the license plate and there is not a reflector inside that bulb housing, so that light output is just absorbed.

 

Mine are installed on a manual bench. All I’ve got for adjustments is closer and further back. I’m 6’ and love them!

Saw one of these yesterday and was contemplating getting one!!! Love it.

It has those two forward facing ones, which looks comparable to the one other option they provide. I wonder if the other would be any better but I doubt it.

I had these on my 2013 for years. Interior and exterior. Never had one fail. They are in the wife's 2020 4R now. The have a newer Sylvania Zevo model but the original seemed to be brighter to me.

 

I’ll definitely keep that in mind if these morimoto replacements don’t work out.

I knew someone here had them....just had to search to remember who it was.

 

This was my PITA project for the last 2 days. Still needs minor adjustments and then my lights will go behind it.

 

TVD vinyl on keyholes and sill plates.
(Yes, the Taco keyhole fits the Tundra, and you can specify color in the comments when ordering).

 

Worth it though, it looks good!
