What are you streaming/watching?

Love this movie. It's easily my favorite Tom Cruise movie. But I gotta say, while I thought this is one of the better of Cruise's roles, Ken Watanabe stole the show. I don't think this movie works without his on screen presence. My only complaint is it got a little formulaic at the end. It might have made my top 10 of all time if not for that ending.

 

It's funny how I don't really consider myself a Tom Cruise fan,. But as I'm reading the movies you mentioned, I was like, "That's a good one... That one too, oh yeah that one is a favorite!". I guess I'm more a fan than I thought! Don't forget Oblivion, American Made, and the Mission Impossible series too. If you look up his list of movies, it's actually ridiculous how many good movies he has been in.

 

Minority Report is also one of my favorite Cruise movies, easily in my Top 3 (if I could have a Top 3 Cruise movies). I think this was one of his best and way underrated films.

It's hard for me not to like the guy. Despite his antics (on Oprah) and some of the crap he has said over the years (Brooke Shields), some of the good deeds he's done for the community and fellow actors stand out in my head.

He's in more that I like but he's not the main acto.r Ex. Outsiders, Rain man, Magnolia etc

 

I enjoyed him in collateral.

 

Ken Wantanabe is fantastic in everything I've seen him in. There's a new show called Tokyo Vice I want to check out that he stars in.

People love to hate on Cruise but he's honestly a great actor who puts out solid movies. He's no Daniel Day Lewis or Gary Oldman, but he's consistent and the majority of his movies do well.

 

There's a beer named Lagertha at my local brewery, it happens to be my favorite but the real Lagertha is more tasty I'm sure.

I did really enjoy Edge of Tomorrow. Need to read the book it's based on.

 

Another great Cruise film. A sequel was announced some time ago, but I haven't heard anything on it in a while.

Ugh, Resurrections was a turd.

 

For sure, there's a lot of "garbage" in this one.

Although I did like the whole take on the video game thing surrounding this iteration of the Matrix, and Neo being the designer.

 

It was interesting concept but hopelessly bungled.

I just looked it up. Not for me. I used to be able to watch this kind of thing, but not anymore.

 

Whatever your source/service you're watching, does it include Trey Parker & Matt Stone intros for each episode? They're stinking hilarious.

As usual, 4k blu-ray. Because they sound better.

 

I'm overdue on another 300 and Gladiator re-watch. I hadn't seen the other 3 since they released, and while I wasn't crazy about them at the time, I did intend to give them another watch and just never got around to it. I actually don't remember what they were about really, so it'll be good to see them again with a bit of a clear head.

 

300: Rise of an Empire is a good watch too. It's got Eva Green in it which should be all the reason you need to watch it.

 

I enjoyed that one, too, and yeah Eva Green being in it definitely helped. I wasn't fan of Stapleton at first, but he grew on me on Blindspot. Kind of a corny show, but I stuck it out till the end.
