    Heck no, I ain’t no vinyl pro. I went to hobby lobby and got a roll of permanent. I think where I messed up was when I attempted it with no water and soap.

    With the right vinyl you don't use water and soap. You need a cast vinyl. Forms well and really contours with a little heat. I used Oracal 970ra for my camper top.

    It’s holding up good so far, but it’s only been about 2 weeks. I’ll definitely have to be careful washing it. My guy said he’d warranty it for at least 2yrs, but it’s just a temp solution till I figure out if I’m going to get it painted like that or go with an aftermarket bumper. A few other shops wouldn’t touch that part or the flares. My wrap guy ran a test with the APA film and he said it stuck really well. For the tundra part it’s cut out.     thanks a ton, heck if it lasts 2 years that’s pretty good. I think I’ll try and convince my shop to try, worst case, it doesn’t work. I still may end up with the oem grille surround and paint it but I love how the low section breaks up all the black.

    Not ignorant, I just didn’t state it well. The power panel will be on the left side of the bed NEAR the tailgate. Below are photos from my previous build showing a different power panel with switches to control camp lights, compressor, and power my fridge. The flaw with my old build was that the power panel was not enclosed from the rear so it got really dusty and even a little mud got up in there. The new one is a project box that is sealed from the elements.     Looks like the nearly the exact build mine will be when it arrives...mine is coming with blacked out badging. It's really strange given silver is usually a very popular color, but is the first silver Limited TRD OR Crewmax that I've seen a photo of. Glad I like it. :yes:

    after installing a set on the 2016 tacoma and going thru 2 ND winters of -20F temps and have them on the 2018 tundra going thru the same temps, i havent had 1 issue on either the tacoma or tundra with peeling or anything else on the external letters.

    but do follow the instructions, i didnt on a set of vent overlays and had to buy a 2nd set.

    Yeah I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find in CA. Silver doesn’t seem to be as popular I guess in the Limited Crewmax OR. I’m going to debadge the truck and just received a PM back from Roman the parts master about de-chroming the door handles and window trim. He knows all the parts that can be replaced with silver.
