I cleaned up my SwitchPro set up recently. I had to replace my 4 terminal marine battery with a 2 terminal and added SDHQ billet terminals. The way the SP components were previously oriented required that large guage + and - cables cross each other— that freaked me out and I didn’t want to drive that way.

So I created a new mount using a couple pieces of scrap metal and fasteners and lock nuts from my local hardware store. Was able to create a place to hang the SP vertically like it’s supposed to be, and corrected the other problems. Plus, it looks a lot better! I’m pretty pleased with myself.

    Before the batter swap:

After the battery swap, with + and - crossed:

I disagree. I think your truck looks really good! Anyway, function > form. More room in the wheel wells before those get stuffed, so drive the heck out of ‘em while you figure out the max of your/ your truck’s capabilities, then go bigger when you wear those tires out. :)

Of course you get to decide. This is just *my* opinion about *your* truck . Good news is, it’s your truck and your money; if you want bigger tires, get them. I do think it’s not gonna help anything that matters*, removing lift. But then, I never worry about how my trucks look as much as how they perform.**

*matters to me, I mean :angrygirl:

    ** and it shows :anonymous:

yeah thinking of 37s. I have about 8"s of shock shaft exposed on the 5160's and about 2.5 inches of available down travel. when up on jack stands. Thinking I would like some of the travel back with the stock shackles...
well in my own theory anyway Or until I get longer shocks...lol

That sounds not quite right to me, 8” of shift exposed when the suspension is not cycling. I’m picturing you needing more down travel than uptravel. In my experience, it’s a rare stretch of ruts or boulders that will need all that uptravel without needing more downtravel on another corner. I don’t know if I’m confused because of how Hulk’s LT suspension moves, but I can’t picture what you’ve got going on. If you post a pic, you may get a few ideas before you throw more money at it.

yeah first thought is reducing the height by going back to stock shackles. which in my mind would give me back the 1.75 inches the CB +3 adds in rear lift.

    I second this.
@SAGE63 if you go back to stock it looks like your truck will have a lot of squat. Also if you plan to go up in tire size you will want that lift.

yeah have that in mind also nishibot though looks are decieving there is actually a little over 2.5" of rake as measured from top of tires to bottom of wheel well.

Warn EVO VR 12S got a good price from @memario1214 and seemed like a good choice based on the user reviews until I saw another review showing the real performance difference between the Evo and zeon. but should still be a good option for this big girl. Really thought hard about the HF badlands 12k
