Full sound system ideas for 2010 Crewmax?

Hello! I just traded in my 2014 Tacoma for a 2010 Tundra crewmax and unfortunately lost all of my audio equipment. I loved the system in my last vehicle which was a Pioneer 2400NEX, Crescendo Audio 6.5" loud speakers, and Image Dynamics XS-28 tweeters running active on a 4 channel, and an 8" massive audio sub in a custom ported box with a mono 500w amp. Loved this system and it was completely active, but I don't want to run active again. I didn't really know what I was doing setting crossovers and what not so I would prefer to buy a solid component set run on a 4 channel amp, and another mono sub, I'm just not sure what parts I should be looking at.

Also I'm not too interested in buying anything from Taco tunes and want to do something more custom, but not too crazy.

I am also curious if I need to run completely new speaker wire or if I can use the stock wire and just run speed wire to the back of the head unit from the amp? I really don't want to have to run new wire again and have heard differing opinions on this topic so I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.

I am not wanting to replace the rear speakers and will not even hook them up with the new install. I'm wanting something that can get loud similar to my setup in my last vehicle, but I don't need to get crazy loud and would prefer sound quality and some decent in the mix bass.

I'm thinking a component set of speakers running on a 4 channel, with a sub running on a mono amp. Not sure what parts I'm looking for and am hoping to get advice as to what to shop for. I don't have a super tight budget but I am looking at kind of the mid-range as far as quality goes. Also not sure if I should build my own box or if there are any pre-made boxes people have found that are made for a specific sub.

For head unit I was going to go with the Sony XAV-AX5500, but other than that I'm not sure what I'm doing!

You dont need to run new speaker wires. Stock will work just fine. It can handle it.

 

Yeah I'm thinking since I'm running less than 100 watts per wire that I should be fine running speed wire from back of the HU to amp. I won't run all new wire.

 

you can run all the factory wiring with no issues,especially @ 100 watts. I wouldn't waste your time running new wires.
