So Hockey season just ended for my son... I might get weekends back. But first i need to mount a bumper and winch... How is everyone?

 

Busy as can be. Baseball has taken over my life until June.

 

All good. Usually this is prime off-road weather, but it’s getting hot! Glad you’re free in time to get some runs in before it goes crazy hot.

Edit: I vote you play in the truck now, install that stuff this summer when it’s too hot to play.

June will be Big Bear weather. Or we could do a run to Cleghorn, for newcomers. Nick will be our poster child for what happens to people that join our Shenanigans runs.

 

Lets go some where.... I am all for it... besides I need some practice and training in the use of my winch...

Lol! Sorry, Buddy. I take it those are knock-offs. What did you shove up against ‘em that did them in? Something as heavy as a truck I hope. Even the knock-offs are heavy AF and should be mounted to rest on the floor. I know from experience…. Offered as a PSA.

Hope you and the family are doing well! I was in OW last weekend - the weather was great and there was tons of untouched soft sand, but it's definitely starting to warm up out there.

I'm starting major truck surgery this weekend before T2S - fancy radiator, timing belt, some skids etc. I have this in my schedule after in May with @alb1k https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/4th-annual-red-canyon-run.755776/ I really like wheeling in this part of the desert.

 

Is there a thread for pictures of stuck vehicles? If not I think there should be lol

Cool you got that. Looks better than any we got from the road. But still, way more dicey in real life than the photos show. Plus, her truck is so heavy, we had to use multiple trucks to anchor so the smallest one didn’t get pulled over. You have pics of that rescue?

 

up in mammoth lakes. Trying to get to a pole line. Started off nicely heading down then literally went sideways. Ended up being about 3’ of snow.

Got to the bottom to turn around then slowly, 4 hours slow, made my way back up shoveling and creating a path of about 100 yards to get out.
