I left my Ghostubsters brain at the door and enjoyed it. But I think it's a like it or hate it movie as it's a different formula from the original, mainly with the characters.

Definitely don't go into it expecting Bill Murray level humor, or any of the clever wit from the original. It's also a little too repetitive at paying lip-service to the original.

    Fun factor I'll give it a 3.5/5, but objectively I can't give it more than a 2.5/5.

    That's a really good POV.

I do have a habit of going in to movies like this with a certain expectation and being extremely let down. So I'll remember that.

For shits and grins, I'm watching some old episodes of Man vs. Wild. This show should actually be called "How to die in the wild"

Watched this one over the weekend as well. I actually enjoyed it!

    Also (all on 4k blu-ray):

    Batman (1989)
    The Fifth Element
    Serenity
    Cloverfield

I hadn't seen Cloverfield since the theater when it released. I'm not a fan of found-footage and didn't care for it at the time. This time I actually enjoyed it, and of course the audio was nothing short of superb. Felt like a monster was attacking my living room!

Adam project was refreshing and tied up nicely... no sequel tease, just a good, funny, stand alone movie.

Turning Red was great for the family.

Binged the Warrior nun and liked it for going somewhere different.

I didn't finish it. Got to the part where Jon Cena showed up then had to turn it off (not that it was horrible) time to log off for work. Haven't gotten back to it.

What are the other two? I can't say I have any favourite Cruise movies but I don't think I've seen any of his better ones.

    Yes
I really like the series in general, but F9 was trying way to hard to be hardcore, but drifted into stupidville and never left. The stunts in the series are always over the top, that's part of why they're great. But when I began watching, I couldn't help but just feel like "this is bullshit, trying to hard" and I shut it off. I may try to suffer through, just to complete the series, but I'm in no rush.

Watched this one the same day as you. I enjoyed it. Last night I watched Dog (with Channing Tatum ... not the crispy fried, bleach blond mulleted bounty hunter). It was a good watch, but a little bit sappy for my taste. Worth it just to enjoy the Belgian Malinois though as my daughter has one she rescued young from a kill shelter and he's the best dog ever!

3 episodes in and so far it is pretty good. Kind of a spin off from the History Channel show, it takes place 100 years after all that. They make some references to characters from that series.

Edge of Tomorrow was really good, as was A Few Good Men. Minority Report was another good one.
