You won’t regret it. It’s absolutely night and day. Make sure you fill up with at least 91 octane

Are you able to provide that link? Searched the part number but no hits. Thanks!

When I purchased it last week it made me ship it to a local dealership.. wouldn't allow shipping direct to my home address for some reason. However, I just got the call today from my dealership that the part arrived. Super fast! So I'll be picking it up this weekend and will update if it is indeed the correct part.

I am too, but the price looks suspect. I think I remember that a bed “brace” was available on the last gen that hep keep the bed square at the tailgate. I suspect that is what this part is. Fingers crossed though for the original poster and all of us that want this bed step…cheaper than I’ve ever seen.

That's what made me wonder. The price is too good to be true. I'm rooting for it to be legit though.

Agreed.. price does make me question.. maybe it is just a bracket.. either way I'll be sure to update.

I just received my bed step today. It is PTS30-34000-ST. Just a kick down like the last gen of Tundras.

Nice! Shoot maybe i ordered just a bracket then.. since our part numbers match other than the last 2 letter. 'BK' vs your 'ST' Which would make sence for "step" price point also looks right around $250 on sparks parts.

I am just a little concerned because if I recall the bed step for my '18 included some bracing, and was a pain in the ass to install. This is just the bed step and two bolts. Seems like there should be more to this. Possibly I need the bracket lol. I am really curious to see what you end up with.

How a bed step was not standard on all 22 Tundras is baffling. First they redesign the bumper to eliminate the only place you could step, second they provide not an inch of real estate to put a toe.

Hey all. First time posting so hopefully I uploaded this picture correctly.

There's two pieces to the bedstep.

There's the bracket in this picture that bolts to the bumper. The bedstep then attaches to the bracket via 2 bolts.

My guess is this is the part you are getting. You would think Toyota would explain things better.

Thanks! Pretty certain this is what I'm getting. Have you installed it yet? Did it bolt up to the frame okay? I went ahead and also purchased the actual bedstep online with the part number given to me by @TexasCabledawg since I'm pretty sure I'll be needing that also to finish the bed step.

So it sounds like you'll need both parts for the bedstep.

Looks like were on to something here. I crawled under the truck last night, and there is not a place to mount it. The bracket in the photo looks like it is needed. Now I will be ordering that. I am going to have a somebody bring up the installation guide on TIS today to verify what is going on.

So, Toyota is going to charge you $150 for a part you have to have to mount a $250 part that should've come standard with the truck because of they way they screwed up the rear bumper design?

Once it's installed, do you have to pay a subscription fee to be able to use it?

I'll be installing it tonight. I'm told it's easier if you pop off the rear bumper trim piece (that chrome one that everyone hates) so your hands have more room. Then it's three bolts to the bumper area. Then the two bolts go into the bracket from the top and then it's tightened down. I'll report back after I get it on.

Awesome, looking forward to the result.
Shucks, i had already popped off the chrome trim pieces to plasti-dip them black, if only i had waited to knock out the step install altogether. FYI, taking out the chrome pieces is kinda a pain. Here is my related post explaining where the push clips are if it helps in any way when you're installing.

I will be watching for ARB, Toytec, etc. to come up with some suspension kits to handle the extra weight.

Amp Research emailed back that Bed Step for 22 Tundra is on their list but it will be a ways off and to check their site for updates re: new products. I checked with my dealer today when I was picking up some touch up paint and he said that the factory was still not letting him even place an order for a bed step. I feel lucky that I was able to get the TRD running boards.

Agree 100%! This was either a colossal blunder, bad market research or an effort to nickel and dime customers. "Oh, would you like wicks with your candles?"

I hope that the electric bed step will be available as bolt-on accessory or that for 2023 they just include it on all models.

I was thinking this too, but was told by the service guy it might not be depending on the wiring harness and exact length for when they retract and extend etc..... Might not be exactly the same.

    That looks really good actually.

I’m one of those that like the front end of the truck (especially in person) and this maintains that but adds functionality.
